Leaf "Burn"

Hey Guys,

Just walked into my grow room last night and discovered this leaf burn. It looks like nute burn, but doesnt that happen at the tips? If you cant tell its a kind of tanning at the middle edges of leaves!

Any information? Thanks tons!

looking through the sick plants guide closest I could find is heat stress, how close are your lights, do you know the temp at the tops of your plants?

That doesnt exactly make sense.....My temps are running fine and i just raised my light? Hmmmmmm, Im using GH Flora grow and bloom btw... my temps are running at 76  I have no clue.....thanks for the imput forsure tho guys. Il go check up on them now.

The light is prolly at least 1.5 ' above, and this was on one of the lower and furthest leaves :-(

What should my temps be!?

Thanks guys

I think copper deficiency could be a possibility. Possible reasons:
>too much nitrogen
>too much phosphorus
>too much zinc
>ph bad; directions for testing soil ph are in my signature below

Your using a combination of flora grow, micro, and bloom... right?

Does it appear like upper leaves are getting yellow but the edges and tips are greener?

Is it just that one plant?
Is it near a fan?
Is it possible that you spilled something on it? Like Ph up or down?
Is it spreading?

It's not Nute burn. The tips will be yellow/brown in nute burn. Looks like light burn. Was there a chance some water got on your leaves during light cycle?or a light touching the leaf?

grew into the floresent light and burned?? got not only one but a bunch of retards confirmed this. only floros dont burn plants... jeeezz. TBH thats a ph fluctuation problem.

The Gh nutrients that I have are just the green and purple bottles, flora grow and flora bloom. My Ph is little off but not much at 5.7 so i gave er some more water to bring it to 6ish. My Ph has never wandered off past 5.7 to 6.3 So I do not see a possible fluxuation :chin: My lights are well away from the problem so I dont think thats it either :chin:

So thanks for all responses, hope this helps answer the problem

could be a light spot burn. what are you using for reflective material?

floros dont burn plants... jeeezz

they do if the plant touches them... :bat: I dare you to hold on to a 45 watt floro and count to 10.

them burns

them burns

look to much in symmetry to me to be anything else but a burn from a outside source touching the leaves..

out of the 3 main leaves shown, the one furthest rights "rust" looks perfectly in line with the next leaf to the left?
well it does this end anyway and that would definately not denote a ph prob..its too uniform in how it looks..

a light/heat burn imo.

peace

Since when does a nute/ph issue effect one single leaf on the whole plant?

Answer? It doesnt.

I cant tell you for certain what f-ed up that one leaf but thats all it is. One f-ed up leaf on an otherwise healthy looking plant.

Dude, flouros burn. Touch one for a minute. See what it does to your hand. My moms are under flouros and they burn to a fucking crisp if I let them touch them for too long. 32W T8's.

echoing what powdergreen already mentioned...you need the micronutes.
I'm suprised theres not alot of major problems so far without using the gh micros in your mix.

Wheres your bottle of flora micro ?

looks definately like radiant heat to me, maybe a hot spot, but definately heat

The Gh nutrients that I have are just the green and purple bottles, flora grow and flora bloom.
Are you absolutely sure???
Don't tell us the colours, tell us the writings on the bottles ;) ie Micro, Bloom, etc..

100,

it looks like you are using mirrors for reflective materials.
This can cause "hot spots", focused light spots that can burn the plant. this is what I believe it is. It's just too local a problem to be any type of fert or PH problem. Id's switch the mirrors for Mylar, mirrors are actually very bad at reflecting light, they absorb a lot of it. Your even better off going with white walls.
peace

hope this helps. :joint:
