That's incorrect. It does not require special glass. It works on any window. There are some things you control if at all possible - like proximity to outside vibration. .

I could be wrong, but I was pretty sure that there was a special "target area" in one case involving a man in central america during the 80's. Reason for area was to isolate and amplify the signals from noise.
