Cooked...Thanks for telling me how happy my plants look. We have been grooving together and I spend a good bit of time just meditating, vibing out and feeling their rythms. I swear I can see subtle differences in how they hold thier leaves and which way they sway all by the different times of the day.

Funny I knew it was blue something or other and my stoned ass has "Blue Satellite 2.2" on the brain, I want that strain so bad for some reason. Thanks for the the reminder, I have been thinking about pull out the pack of beans to verify as the Blue part has been bothering me.

Ono ... Thanks for stopping in. You very well may have seen a mite or two. I have had a small problem with bugs over the past week or two. My wife, the other green thumb in our family, decided to put some pansies, petunias, and a few others under my veg lights. I just about blew a gasket when I came home and found this and a veg bugs flying around. I have been dosing the basement with neem and things seem to be under control. Though bugs just drive me nuts.

I know absolutely nothing about growing in coco...but I do know about happy, healthy pot plants...and that's what you've got there, bro. :D
I grew out Tex's Metro last year. It's my understanding that it's Trainwreck x Texas Resin Company's "Blue 13". The 2 ladies I got had slight differences from each other, but both had that outstanding Trainwreck smell and taste :canabis:
Really nice! I'm kickin myself for not keeping a clone. They also produced some nice sized tops.

Happy growing to ya, purce.
Stay safe, and keep em green.

Here is a shot of some ECSD popcorn after a week cure.

ecsd-cured.jpg

This is the Abusive cut of ECSD, and I gotta say the taste is just remarkable. Wonderful sour smell and the diesel is just starting to come through in the cure. I am however really disappointed with the intensity and duration of the buzz. I have just put one more to flower in on Monday, but I am not sure if this is a keeper. For now I guess we will keep her.

man i ran lisa marie.. the elvis girl pollenated with a male sour d ibl.. wowowowowo it is nice. i am keeping 2 phenos of this in my garden for a while one is much more of the elvis smell (from what i've read at least) and the other pheno is almost a pure sour diesel reek and i've sampled plenty of deez.. ecsd cut, rez's ibl from various growers, lots of nycd also.. and various uncomfirmed 'diesels'.. and this cut of lisa marie is very similar to the ibl girls which were very similar to the ecsd cut which is the ultimate diesel of them all imo.

but yeah heres lisa:

(elvis dom.)

(sour diesel dom.)

sorry just had to whore them a lil haha i really couldn't be happier with how close this pheno came to the ecsd..

looking good kookoo coco'er!

Ono,
went back and looked closely. It was not a mite.. But I have some very fine coco on a few plants. I am 99% sure this is what is in the picture. It has been driving me nuts.

Lets see, it been a while since my last update. Things are rocking along. The Metro is almost 4 feet tall and starting to bud up at 20 days. You can see her in the center of this pic.

room-shot1.jpg

The LUI is and Dreamgoddess( back center and right in pic above) are budding like crazy and are now 3 1/2 -4 feet tall. I have been reading bonsaigrowers LUI report and I am getting psyched. But lesson learned I am letting this girl go maybe 70 days or so. She is frosty as hell already 33 days in, amazing growth patterns. She really reminds me of this sketch of a pure colombian in Clarke's Botany book.

Here is my Killer Apollo about about 55 days in. She is starting to get fat and crunchy. This girl overpowers all else in my grow room, just reaks of pineaple. I think it is the C99 in her if I am not mistaken.

ka-55-days-macro.jpg

Here is the ICE at 63 days. Her fans just seem to have started goin N deficient and the trichs heads are growing like monsters and turning cloudy all over. I am thinking 7-10 more days on this girl and she is ready.

ice-macro-65-days.jpg

The results of my frosting experiment are still out, but one thing is for sure. Between this recipe and/or the move to 3 gallon pots for flower, my nugs are harder than a 3 peckered billy goat in a strip club.

All right things have been hectic and I haven't updated in a bit. Sorry no pics this round, I am high and lazy and just want to sit and watch the grass grow.

Well I am stoned off my ass on the ICE I pulled it on Sunday and it is just dry enough to get a taste. It hits like a sledge hammer with a bit of a racy heart and a clean high head. TO early to tell taste it only barely doesn't stink like fresh cut ganja.

So the pertual thing is really coming along. The ICE was the first of the plant in sequence and in 7-10 day my big KA should be ready, followed by another KA in 7-10 day, then come Dreamgoddes and LUI, and then ECSD and Metro, followed by White Gold and back to ICE.

Here is what I am doing and how I am using the light spread of the 600 ina 4x4 hydro hut. From the time a plant enters the hut through its first 3-4 weeks as flowers establish, I keep them in the center of the room and the newest one goes directly under the HPS. Then I move them to the sides in the middle as I bring a new one in. Once they are well budded and established the move to the back row. Here they receive a few weeks of light in a very undisturbed row where they get large and dense. As they come within the final 3 weeks of flower they are moved to the front. This allows for easy viewing with a scope and in the chair. The front receives less light but once the flowers are full and dense and just ripening it doesn't seem to matter as much.

Ok back to my kinetic energy study... The ICE I just pulled was the first and I should have shot some root porn but I was lazy. I grew that girl out and maxed her in every stage and vessel she was in. When I put the 1/2Gallon plug in the 3 gallon pot I was unsure as to how much space she would fill. This girls was root bound like crazy. The bottom of the root ball was just thick white coils of root. It was near impossible to get all the fine coco out of this root mass. I am really getting nice large healthy plants with this system.

Now on to my next experiment I have been working on. I keep hearing the joys of an N depleted plant for smoking and have been working hard to make this happen. Last week I accidentally forgot to water the 2nd KA I have going. I cam home 3 days later to find her yellow and limp with a pot so light and dry I nearly threw it as I lifted it. Thinking for a second I realized this plant had consumed most of it's N in the fan leaves, and they only had about 20 days to go. So when I decided to water with only a spalsh of sweet and will just give her water from here on out.

5 days later she is healthy and yellow with buds that seem to be finishing faster than her older counterpart. Her trichs developed much larger heads and they seem to have gone a bit cloudier earlier. I am wondering how this will paly out, but it could be interesting with some potentially tastey results.

congrats on harvesting the ice. great to hear you'll be pulling a plant every week,

very cool system for a perpetual grow. remember you can also place the small plants on top of some thing if they are too short to get enough light to start with.

anyway, good work.

Gaius,

good point I actually do this. When they go into the chamber I have a few different spare buckets of varying heights I use to help even out the canopy. I have most of them stretching from 3-4 feet total so the canopy is about even.

We do things similarly far as the "rotation" goes.....I am not sure if I have ever smoked ICE....I had some ICE clones before but never grew 'em out....sounds like some dank

Some strains just are not bush strains....

cya soon

i was unlucky with the ice clone that was circulating for a while. it did grow extremely well and made very big buds with a good coating of trich, but the taste was very bland and i didn't grow it again. but i believe that's to do with the pheno, it was obviously selected for yield and looks above taste. anyway i'd be interested in your smoke report on the Ice you have harvested.

peace

This ICE is a selected cut that has been passed around for quite a few years now. I had been smoking this stuff for a while before I got a chance to get the clone.

I was given the following info with the cut. Maybe you all can tell me who's ICE it is?

"Ice has ancestors of Afghani, a very special Skunk, Northern Lights, and Shiva. An intense selection process of thousands of plants was used in finding this special mix. Ice flowers are richly covered in trichomes and have a dense consistency. Buds form along main branches and there is a high flower to leaf ratio. Ice is suitable for hydro and soil applications. The stone is heavy and the aroma is almost like fuel. Ice is a winner of the 1998 Cannabis Cup."

She has a very nice branching structure with solid dense nugs that are covered in trichs. She wreaks of a very strong fuel late in flower and is sticky and greasy as hell. Well cured she produces a citrus overtone to the heavy fuel smell.

The smoke is strong and hashy and hits pretty hard and heavy. She is very stoney and will send your ass to the fridge ten time to stare blankey as you shovel anything in and wish for something else. A bit to much and you will pass out.

Damn... I forgot about my own thread as I have been traveling like mad. The ICE was AWESOME!!! I found out it was from World Wide Seeds as I met the source who selected the cut and we discussed it over some sushi.

I promise I will snap a few pics later, but here is some much needed dialog and process update.

verdict is in somewhere in this new recipe the density of my buds has gone crazy and the trich coverage is out of control.

PK 13/14 is a sure fire winner and I use it twice during the grow. When my flowers are well under way and popping pistils liek crazy I dose them with nothing but water and PK/13 @ 6ml/gallon. I run this for one week, and it seems to have 2 nice effects. 1st this stops the N and seems to give me a much better shot at N deficiency later in flower, resulting in a tastier smoke. It clearly produces a much denser bud, at this point in time. Then I use one last run of PK 13/14 again @ 6ml/gallon 3 weeks before I pull them. At this stage I notice it will significantly increase trichome yield and I swear the heads will form much larger and faster.

In between my first dose of PK and my last dose I am using a new variant of my frosting recipe. I am still playing with the dosing but I am using approx 6ml Budwell + 6ml Liquid Karma + 4ml Sweet/gallon.

The last three weeks of flower after a final dose of PK 13/14 I let them just use water right off the well. They have been yellowing nice and even, while producing wonderfully dense clean flowers.

I promise some pics later. Yall gotta see the Meto, large yellow and lovely with this amazingly intense and intoxicating aroma. The TW maybe???

Thanks for sharing the frost recipe...I've never tried PK 13/14 before....sounds like that shit works well....I was gonna experiment with Hydroplex....but...you got me thinkin' about the PK 13/14.

Sounds like your ICE cut is some straight up dank...lookin' forward to the Metro shots!

much like over packing the 18.8 bowl on the RooR... Overkill can be fun. Yes I did it on purpose.. You don't get to see too many large pics here.

dude did you post those pics so big on purpose?

it's a bit overkill no? :D

juicy macro though, lol.
