golden gooey sticks, fluffy pillows of buds, and the eagle brand bricks, oily and sticky. those days before hydro-chronic were very special

I always laugh at these kinda threads.

eek? yuk? what you guys expect thailand to ship out kind bud in mason jars? get real. I don't think villages in the hills have vaccum sealers. thats how weed has looked since BC. not british columbia I mean before christ. it doesn't mean its bad. you wouldn't smoke some of the most famous and exotic weed in the world because it didn't come from a western grow setup? your gonna miss out on some of the most unique strains with that mentality.

its a good thing there were less picky stoners in the 60's. we wouldn't be smoking all this exotic weed if people wouldn't have pulled the seeds out of that schwag.

yeah it don't look spectacular because it's pressed as is most thai seeing as the punishment for trafficking is death. doesn't mean it's not good. i had some thai that was sweet chocolately and earthy with a clear coloufrul buzz, can't wait to get the space to grow some.

bro-stoners in the 60's didn't have anything to compare to the badly handled/dried/cured buds that were being allowed to come into the country.
if you think what did make it in was AAA then your fooling yourself.
then, just like now, the cream of the crop never ever makes it further than spitting distance

furthermore-when the "hippies" did start to grow their own-you can bet they never thought twice about the commercial that was coming in and quite readily available.
Smoking is the sum of it's parts-the buzz being just one of it's prized qualities-if it don't taste good and get you "lusti-eyed" at the mere sight or wiff then it's not gonna stand up to the test of time
After a connoisseur has had a chance to indulge in a properly grown, handled and cured product-the experience is suddenly multi-dimensional in every aspect
What are some of your favorites from back in the day?
Thanks for your input in advance motaco-I see you have a lot to share
BTW-i never knew how much better the experience was with truly cured buds-ICMAG has made me a believer as well as a true snob
