ok ty K, i am heading down to the local shop today to price all the things out for your lent soil mix (and get a feel for a person who works there) i have a good friend who is dating one of the guys down there and ya knows how that can go for sure K and I am thinking of running that soil mix. I really like it and with what you have been producing i dont think i can go wrong with it. I didnt see and ill go look but how much extra perlite did you add? and do you think adding more would be helpful or not? if you dont kno dont worrie i just got the juices flowing. as always take care and be safe

edit I see you didnt add any extra perlite. any reasons why? and i see u use 2 bags of worm castings, would you have too add ferts if one were to use 1 bag? send me a pm if you dont wana post all this

/\/\/\ dude this is my first run with this mix.. i got it from a friend.. i can't explain why anything is in the mix, this is my first time using it lol as for the wormcastings, the stuff is gold and doesn't burn so i would think two is the way to go.. good luck at the store you should get a discount

wonderful stuff K girls came down looking beautiful. Mr. P i would suggest trying the mix out, alot of folks (myself included) use mixes like this and get great results. theres no time like the present... i use the occasional tea and a few different dry ingredients but there all very close together in my opinion. also, if i may, i would recommend you try and find a bait farm to get wormcastings from. im embarrassed to say i used to spend 16-19 dollars on a 30 lb bag of ewc at the shop. i go to a worm farm now and get 40 lbs for 5$ a bag. folks say certain kinds of worms are best for ewc for gardening (red wiggler maybe?) so i was a bit unsure about the canadian nightcrawler? ewc but that went away real quick. it is like gold. i use around one third ewc for alot of my mixes bc its cheaper than ffof hell cheaper than plain peat.... know of a guy that pops his rooted clones straight into 2 gal pots of the same stuff straight up all ewc. plants do fine apparently. wow long post.... so yeah. hey k lol.

yea homie ty for the info. its all good, i thought u had used it onvce before but being a stoner i assumed too much na I just got back from the store and ima get a PHAT hookup. To get all of the recipy it will be like 115 bucks and thats with the sunshine #4. i have been reading steller things about it so im excited to get my show underway. once i get all ready ima see if i can get some help choosing what ima plant ( i have tons of seeds) hehe alrighty boss have a great night

y dont u just drill a few holes in the bottoms of the containers. Then u could put some rocks, stones or hydroton(clay pelletts) in the bottom ...

hey thanks for the suggestion and welcome aboard, nickman.. i am good to go with the drainage issue so no worries, the rocks/hydroton would function the same as the perlite. in terms of drilling holes, i'm not really after drainage onto the floor. many ways to skin a cat.. this will be just fine, trust me folks not a new camera, maybe my pic skills are growing hehe

mr.P: hell yeah, if you need help choosing what to pop let a brotha know i love that kind of decision lol sweet man can't wait to see your garden going i bet you are stoked!!!

nameless: yeah my horticulture professor made a big deal of saying vermiculture is done using only red wigglers not regular earthworms, and the regular earthworms are useless.. but the same guy also told me they only use the leftover compost for fertilizer, not the actual wormcastings/poop. lmao i brought him a little sampler bag of Wiggle Worm and he was like oh. amazing what goes for knowledge, in a classroom environment.. oh well gotta pan through the academia bullshit for the nuggets of wisdom and leave the rest. can't go wrong with wormcastings, i swear by them.

day 64, the big purple mama bubba came down as well as a tw x killer chem and another grandaddy purps. if you've been following me, you know that about seven or eight months ago i came across a killer bubba kush x dc pheno from cannacopia. i had already made the decision to keep a dif one when a few weeks later--around week four in bloom--i got a feeling to do whatever possible to keep this one. i clipped a lower branch growth tip with a little purple BUD lol didn't even expect it to root, but thankfully she did and after a short while in dirt she reveg'd like a pro. i made her my mama for doing so well to reveg, and she rewarded me with a nice stock of clones (currently in week 2 bloom). then she herself got flipped after a good few weeks of veg. now she came down. already tried a little pre-chop nug from last week. stellar is all i can say. enjoy the rest of the pics, the other two gals ain't bad neither peace, k.

mr.p: hey buddy thanks for helping out rob with the question (what up rob! glad you stopped in bro). i am not sure how good this mix is for the babies.. it is a little hot. maybe start them in just plain FFOF or promix even. idk my shit is always a work in progress, as soon as one thing is figured out i'm on to the next (keeps me on my toes ). i'll give a good picture update here in a bit so you can judge for yourself, but i'm seeing some weirdness on the viper trainwreck tub. one-finger leaves and thereabouts... still healthy growth just that weirdness. however the TW ibl i pulled down a week or two ago had the same issue and turned out to be a big producer and fire, so i'm not sweatin it.

do you ever get tired of growing? i can't believe it is happening, but i am actually starting to not enjoy the day to day stuff as much... i got clones that need to go in dirt, babies that need cloned, etc. and i got the money to get everything yet i haven't done it for like a week gotta get the mojo risin again. ever have that happen to you, the folks who been growing a few years or more? anyway, all other systems go, about to choppy-chop the VTW at day 65 she is looking stellar see ya in a bit

here we are, the VTW came down at day 65, the GD Purps was day 64 (last night) and the TWibl x Killer Chem is at day 56, will go for another week or so. enjoy!

hey K I know how u feel. that was one of the issues why i stoped so many years ago... but I have that itch, and with all the classes and things that i have picked up from so many great growers (such as urself) im happy to start it up. but in ur case it seems to be what is helping pay ur bills so its a tough one. Maybe its time for a small Vaca? come out to the W coast its so nice atm anywho when i start my thread the first thing will be what to plant, i know some will be my own creations Berrygirl (early girl male X orig DJ short BB) the BB was Sat dom, and the EG was a compact male with good structure. but i have a list of other that i needs help with. sry for the run on but as always stay safe.
