I gotta tell somebody this story!.....

It happened today...It is bad news & good news...

The place I work has random drug tests. The last one was in MAY 09...I figured it was about time for another one, about AUGUST 09....soooo...I went on the weed wagon..(plus I was out)..until...Christmas eve...(got all I need)... Well...they had a random drug test this morning...WTF?...hit the people up after Christmas?...

that's low...dishonest!

The good news?...I wasn't selected...I ducked a big fucking bullet, there!....

I always saw the tiger as a rock and roll party joint.
It made some sort of top 10 rock guitar bars of the south list several years.
I've seen Neil ZaZa blow the place out a few times. Good times.

the hell with the tiger. I just liked the drug binges in the economy inn behind it. hahaha. Naw the tiger was more of a rock and roll type joint. I mean of course your gonna have the red necks in there as well I mean hell it was in kentucky. But Im a youngin I only caught the tail end of it. Then it turned to pharrows and now the thortons mafia has both corners bought up..!!!

I thought that when I typed out the location I would remember the name, no lucky. Anyway, I saw Charles Daniel, Thin Lizzy, Bob Seeger there. Nice place can't remember shut. Ok here is another only open a couple years say '71-'72, The Mad Hatter, it was on Brdwy at Logan. A little band from Texas played, heck a little 3 piece boogie/blues band, oh ZZ Topp I think was the name. Got down for 3 hours I swear. Oh yeah Hppy New Years Ohio Valley growers

I was fond of "Beggers Banquet", too...second & main

...said to be the inspiration for Bob Seger's ...'Down On Main Street'?

he played there a lot, before hitting the big time..(it was only a dollar to see him every weekend)

an old fat man from ky checkin in with my peeps. brought back memories of 70's and 80's in lexington where i was a painter/contractor/drunk/pothead...anybody else visted lagrange?..was in that shithole for 6 months and about same in blackburn(only time in my life i ever turned down weed. was afraid of piss test and gettin sent back to "the big house" hehehe)..that was in 1982 and last fkn time i've been locked up..they taught me one thing .how to noT get caught and here it is. DONT EVER TELL A WOMAN SHIT!........if i had a penny i'd throw it in the sea, to see if it would float or grow a penny tree.

Yeah, I remember Beggars Banquet.
I had heard Seger played there a few times right before he hit big. I remember seeing him as the warmup for Kiss in '74(?) I think it was. Seger did 5 encores and absolutely blew the place out. Kiss came on with their fantastic lights show and rising stage, and folks were leaving. LOL...Freedom Hall, with the immediate whiff of colombian before even entering the place! Good times.

Hey cosmic welcome to the thread. And good way to bring back bad memories of lagrange. haha Naw. To be honest I wouldnt trade any of my time behind the fence in. It made me who I am today. Luther lucket wasnt on the top of my list, Black burn class D wasnt bad. The last bid I did was in little sandy in eastern ky. Hell it was like a hotel. None of it was easy time but ya know, what doesnt kill you.

I saw seger at freedom hall November of 06. got a citation for passing a joint to a narc. Shitty luck. And hank that place on 3rd and liberty is still there. Its changes owners and names so many times though. It was coyotes, the corner, o'malleys and all kinds of other shit. What about Jim porters. They have had some decent shows along with the hill down off broadway and baxter.
