700W Silicone heat pads with built in cheapo mechanical temperature controllers

These were just shipped my way!! Very happy to not be standing using a heat gun for 20 minutes to defrost my 4x24 columns. I got 2 pads so they wrap the long way(easier and prevents damaging the mats)

I highly recommend Keenovo, they are REALLY helpful and quick to respond. Easy to work with and very cheap. Could have went with a digital temperature controller for not much more but i dont need to exact for the columns

Doooooohd! Use A6 Grower's link when making your own custom order with Keenovo, they'll recognize the details.

This was why i posted it lol. This is what you need for a 4x24 column, simple and cheap. If you want more accurate temps you'll need a PID setup. Just click ask a question on this item and give them the specs you want and they'll get right back to you.

Keenovo is great, im a night owl so being able to get quick response at night was awesome. Ordered the pads on the 5th or something i believe and they should be here by the 30th.

Oh and its about a 1/3rd of the price briskheat quoted me and they said 8 weeks to get it made.... lol

We have ours custom made by Alirubber in China. Good price and delivery, plus we get the third wire ground and had the thermocouples molded in for the last round.

Ya my next ones im going to ask about getting the thermocouple molded in to be a little more accurate and nicer looking but this will work for now. Its only for the columns after almost all of the liquid butane is gone and all the soaked material needs heated for recovery so accuracy isn't a must. I thought about getting a wrap for my collection pot but after reading issues with hot spots in the mats i decided the bin of circulating warm water is better and probably more consitant. its just gets dirty and gross really quick.

Sounds good! I have 2" columns and am wondering if the pads can be overlapped or if you have to get it very close to the lay flat/diameter you need? Also how are people fixing the pads to the columns for simple swapping, hose clamps?

Thanks for the links.

they can't over lap and they need to lay flat on the metal or else youll have hot spots and burn the mats out. This is why i got 1 10" to make 20" tall for my 24" column, room to lay flat on the column. I was going to use some 4" band clamps from the auto store as the are smooth unlike hose clamps and look like they apply a more even pressure. Or maybe some Velcro as i already have a bunch i use for organizing hoses and stuff

Very helpful, thanks!

I wonder if keenovo can supply explosion proof pads(saw omega offers this option)

Buddy, use the "warm vapor method" to defrost the tube...

I feel like i lose less per run with the heat pads getting my tube up to 100F+ then the warm vapor method. I do 4 to 6 4x24's a day so loosing a lb per tube was getting nuts. when i empty my columns now they are completely dry and actually kinda warm lol.

And just so everyone knows Keenovo ships UPS expedited. I paid for it on the 10th, they shipped it on the 22nd and i got it one the 23rd.... All for $175..... I love these heat mats, they work awesomely.... And 13 days compared to Briskheats 8 weeks and $350 with no controllers is a steal of a deal

no they dont over lap, they actually dont even wrap around the whole tube. They are like a little more then an inch short. Same with the width, i have them spaced apart a little. The circumference of a 4" circle is 12.5, mine are only 12" long and 10" wide so theres like 2 inches or so at the top and bottom of the column not wrapped.

controllers are in C 0-150

They are pretty shitty lol, but the work for defrosting a heating up a column QUICK! zero butane left in my 4" columns now

to clarify.... They CAN NOT overlap each other. You'll burn your mats out or melt them to each other or something. :friends:
