IMO PLL tubes are the future.I use the same to veg my plants,but it seems they do have capabilities in the flower department too.
Maybe they give less than HPS,but then you can grow double as many plants like you,and get even that way.Hmm..

I have done runs w/ 2x 96w CFL's. I use mixed specrtum ((1) 10k, and (1) 6500k). I have not found lower spectrum 4 pin bulbs, but imagine you could add some weight and density with better spectral picks.

Heat is an issue at the bulbs but generally runs lower temps than eq. HID's.

For those of you in the "HID" can not be out-yielded camp; I used to be too, until I came across some recent threads with compelling evidence to question it.
