Kali China

She is doing great Fronk, thank you very much for the updates :huggg:

Looks like a slightly more sativa Kali China pheno.

How are the aromas passing mid flowering ?
Sweet, creamy, floral, incensey ?
Or darker floral, meaty, incensey ?

I smell sweet funk then floral with lots of other notes.
Very complex and extremely stinky.
It is fairly sativa.
Was the fastest and is probably the biggest plant of the season.
Here’s just before...

She is advancing very fast and looking great towards the end of flowering Fronk

Based on your description of her terpenes (sweet, floral), tinner sativa traits and taller lankier sativa structure, look of the flowers, etc ...
i'm almost sure your female comes from the green Kali China F3 (more sativa pheno) x Kali China F4 line.

Always a pleasure to follow your gardening work friend :)

Is this the same f3xf4 from the breeders pack?
And did you do much outcrossing with those ones?
:woohoo:

Hi Fronk,

Yes, the Kali China F3xF4 i was talking about is the same line described in Kali China's Breeders Pack ;)

I used the more sativa leaning green Kali China F3 mother in intermediate breeding stages of the strain and in some older KC hybrids like Orient Express x Kali China or first PCK x Kali China version. But since 2014 i've been using mainly the purple Kali China F4 hashplant mother pheno and its best sisters and cousins to continue with the breeding of the strain up to F5 generation and to make all the latest KC hybrids: Thai Chi, Haze x Kali China, Zamaldelica x Kali China, Bubba Kush x Kali China, Congo x Kali China, etc ...

My Kalichina is near the 8 weeks 11/13, geting dark purple, the smell is a nice sweet tropical punch. I think I will let her go 8.5 / 9 weeks. Thanks ACE other nice hibrid in my little 60x60cm. She doesn't like supercroping or lst to much.

Hi porn :)

Thanks for your feedback.
Kali China is my best breeding effort to produce a very exotic incensey fruity strain of very fast flowering that can be grown in small indoor spaces.

Glad you are so far satisfied with how Kali China has performed in your garden.
As you have experienced, Kali China is very suitable for small indoor spaces and doesn't like to be pruned when grown with short growing times.
Most of them are ripe after 8-9 weeks of flowering time.

Enjoy your harvest! ;)

I'm afraid finishing the flowering room is taking too long... I know Kali China is not a stretcher, but mine got to an incredible size (vegging, coco DTW, pot size 11L):

picture.php

Lovely shape... plan to defoliate a little only if required as flowering evolves, hopefully this is one got enough time to bulk and won't mind... I usually let the girls to dispose of not required fans on its own.

I'd say I see 50/50 indica/sativa traits on this one? (didn't let my previously grown KC to reach this size, she took a 100% hashplant "nuke" shape, she was purely columnar (same pot size as this year's):

sorry if this question has been asked, is Kali China the most incense tasting Ace variety? I've heard that term used to also describe Panama and the Ace haze family hybrids both old and new, so I'm wondering which has the strongest incense terps

Hi repuk,

She became a really nice bush in her 11 liter pot :)
She is showing the classic chinese hashplant indica traits of Kali China F5s, i don't think she comes from the more sativa F3xF4 line, we will be able to judge more accurately during flowering.

Best wishes friend!

Hi nldfarmer,

Good question, we have commented a few times here in our room about our most incensey strains.

Both Panama and Kali China (and their sativa hybrids) are probably our most consistent incensey strains.

Panama is more lemony incensey while Kali China is more mango, liver, decaying flowers and incense.

Panama x Bangi Haze, Panama x Malawi, Panama Haze, Malawi x Panama, Honduras x Panama and Bangi Congo x Panama are (in this order, from more to lesser incense) our most incensey Panama hybrids.

Thai Chi and Haze x Kali China are our most incensey Kali China hybrids.

Other incensey strains you may consider are Killer A5 Haze (for classic dutch Haze incenses) and Oldtimer's Haze and some of its hybrids like Green Honduras Haze, Purple Honduras Haze and Purple Haze x Malawi Haze although the incense in the very tropical Oldtimer's Haze hybrids is not so loud like the ones previously suggested.

Hope it helps! :tiphat: dubi

Thank you so much, this is really great news and lets me officially start working towards a new haze starting with the Panama line to get the lemony incense.
I plan on having some fun with the Kali China also by trying to replicate some of your breeding since I had the F3-F4 version, now I can really focus on the incense Kali profile.

Thanks Dubi!
This one handled the rain with absolutely no problems!
I didn’t find any mould at all and inspected the whole plant.
We’ve had nice sunshine since and I am pulling this one tonight.
Very happy with this one. :)
Some serious resin and terpenes
