i've seen their tracks along stream before where one had drank. we've found deer carcasses covered with leaves etc, and one was photographed in Carter County a couple of years ago. biologists in GSM national park say (anonymously) there are probably a dozen or more there... i'd love to see one.

I watched a show on Netflix the other day about cats, it was very interesting. One of the things I took away was that cats raised in a different culture act different according to the culture they were raised in.
The example they gave was between cats raised in the U.S. ---Japan

i've seen video where someone got a kitten and started it out swimming, taking a bath etc. one couple showed their dogs and cat playing in the water at the beach! must have raised it with Lab puppies or something...

I have no doubt that some animals become accustomed to certain habits from birth and it just seems natural to them. I have seen a show about cats and some cats definitely take to water, all on their own. There are wildcats that look domestic that might hunt for their food in a creek.
I was interested and read all cats have partially webbed paws and a couple have total webbed paws. It's great to see a cat in water.

; had a flood a few years back, they showed the main river overflowing and taking people's vehicles away. In one such submerged vehicle was a young man and his cat and they had to swim for their lives and Momo the cat led the way, it was incredible to see this cat swimming for it's life and leading the way to shore. It was on the news video footage, people loved Momo!
