Just another micro tent :)

First and foremost, hello ICMag community. I've been debating whether or not I wanted to start this thread, but I've been documenting my current grow anyway, and I am on here at least every couple of days so I figured why not share my tent since this place gives me so much enjoyment via everyone's information, work, and insights. I've actually been a member for a few months longer than I've been growing, which is about a year and a half now, and though I haven't really posted alot...this will actually be my 4th album/3rd grow documented on here. A little information about my tent: 1.5 x 2.5 x 3, running bagseeds, one of which came from a great sack of schwag I got a while back (mexican brick), also from some I was given about a year ago (not sure what they came from really, but probably mexican brick), and also a couple seeds my roommate found in some high quality "dro" that was pretty great. In the past grows, I was using a 150w hps...but my roommate found a nice 300w led grow light on woot a few weeks ago and asked if i would wanna put it in my tent, to which I said "hellz yeah". Anyway, this will take quite a few posts to catch up to current status, so lets get started.

1/28/2015-All seeds up now, Labeled in the order they came up A,B,C,D,E,F,G. (A) was planted about a week prior as part of a different batch of seeds from my good schwag sack but was the only to come up a day or so later, so B-G was then replaced with the mystery ones I was given a year ago. All seeds have been started in a mix of what I assume is some new-ish Miracle Organic Potting Soil and MG Perlite, cheap at WalMart. Worked great, despite my reservations.

Pulled E and C shortly thereafter due to slacking behind the others a noticeable amount. E actually just stopped growing after its first set of leaves, there was just this dimple i guess and nothing coming from its top, was strange to me cause I've never seen that personally or on here.

2/13-Transplanted A,B,D,F,G...and have T1 & T2 ("dro") & E (same seed as B-G, but is in control of my lady cause she wanted to take care of one lol) in yogurt cups. Also raised the led for temperature reasons

2/18- Finally got a meter for temp/humidity, as well as some neem oil and blood meal, along with a small packet of some NPK supplement I found there at the depot. Looked like a deficieny of some sort on a couple plants, and I wanted to give them a precautionary dose of neem.

2/21- Transplanted T1 and T2, the lady handled her E (she almost buried it though, lol), also flipped to 12/12 tonight.


By the way, I forgot to mention that the soil I transplanted into is Fox Farms Ocean Forest, and I've added the blood meal/nutrient packet, in reasonable dosage of course.

glad you created this thread, they are looking good! looks like they really love that LED light too. what's the temperature like in there? i'm seeing some different soil mixes there.... doing an experiment?

To Midwest Sticky and Unk, thank you, for both dropping by and your compliments

-As for the soil, not so much an experiment as just the way it turned out. When I went to transplant I put FFOF in to about halfway or so and then put a mix of the cheap organic soil and perlite mix. I got lazy with those last two and didnt mix the top layer, so its just soil. The back one, labeled E with perlite on top is my wife's and she thinks it looks pretty lol, she was also helping.

Not much of an update but i checked the tent and took some pics a bit ago.

Gave a good molasses watering to the bigger plants yesterday, trying to water more-less often instead of water less-more often this time and I see a difference. Temperature is at a very consistent 82F with light on (which makes me wonder what my temps were with the hps i was rockin' lol, was probably half my problem along with growing in solo cups...live and learn i suppose). The smell had started a couple weeks ago, but when we come home I just love the smell of our room, just like someone smoked a bowl, but not overpowering at all...cause the smell stays in our room. The plants have a nice pine/skunky/slightly citrus smell to them from a quick rub.

Well again not much to update, but I did take some pics...so of course I gotta put em on here lol. I keep spinning the plants in their positions daily to give fair light, tried rotating and moving around but there's not many ways to position what I have in the space that I have...not complaining, but now I have an idea of how many is my limit in the future. Anyways, here's some pics (which, on a side note, I had run out of space for so I had to delete some older pics from older albums...if anyone can give me a heads up on how they work with the space/size constraints as far as format and etc., it would be appreciated)

I noticed that it looks like something ate my leaves a bit, slightly visible on G in the labeled pic. I diluted the neem/water I already had made a bit more and drenched them and the dirt tops after taking pics. By the way, cause I know everyone is so inquisitive lol, I added the cardboard pieces on the sides to block the vent flaps during the night as a precautionary measure, and just left them there because opening them up wasn't making it cooler anyway...still just stays at 80-82.

Here's a pic of E, just wanted to point out this strange (mutation, I guess) way these leaves grow. B,D,F,&G are of the same seeds and did as well. Never seen it on anyone else's plants though, so thought it might be interesting to some.


Well one week 12/12 down, none have shown sex yet but I'm sure that will be soon enough. Til next time

Hello again, sex has been shown so I figure its as good a day to update as any. Took quite a few pics, hopefully better, so it will take a few posts for this update. As luck would have it, I only wound up with two males...which is pretty awesome.

And to top things off, recieved my order from Herbies...was a little paranoid so just went with a few pick n mix and they swapped the 2 fem seeds for 5 reg freebies. All i did was ask if it would be possible :

Well, its been a few days, so I want to update. Things are moving along smoothly. Today I was finally able to identify T2 as a male (bottom left corner,gonna call it the terminator just based off my labeling lol), but I wanna keep it around long enough to experiment with making seeds before my next run with purchased seeds that I do plan to breed for more, depending on how they turn out of course. Last time I experimented with making seeds they wound up being dried out, white, and of course not viable...not sure what I did wrong then but I had heat problems and I think it was my first grow around a year and a half ago. E and T1 havent shown sex yet though, but the rest are just throwing out pistils, so not much longer before they start budding hopefully.

Decided to defoliate a bit after the photo, some leaves were blocking tops and figured it would help the air circulation also.

My apologies for the useless previous post, was using it for padding to get to post #50 thinking it might let me have more pic space but I guess I just have too many lol. Anyway for a minor update, to my surprise, both E and T1 have shown themselves as female today. Couldn't be more happy with the ratio I got from just bagseed, although as I said before, if I could have foreseen this many females I wouldn't have planted as many. I'll try to figure out the pic issue, maybe get rid of a few in lieu of the future posts so I can continue adequately updating.

Well cool beans, more space after post 51, glad I checked again.

Moved them around a bit, and added bigger pieces of cardboard yesterday as a precautionary measure, seeing as I have so many ladies to handle...Haven't ever had to deal with hermies, fortunately, and I'd like to keep it that way if I can help it.

Well I'll be damned...a little irony after what I posted earlier, and a little intuition. I always check the tent twice, morning and evening, but something just told me to a bit ago...earlier than I normally would've since there's still a few hours til lights out. T2 is a flippin tranny lol. Kinda glad i got an extra pot's worth of space but also slightly disappointed. From everything I've read, it shoulda been a keeper male, fantastic smell and quite the hollow stem, not to mention the bud it came from was amazing. Oh well, no biggie...
