Can you elaborate on your thought about flower development and mold?

Im not a scientist so please disregard my laymen terms if you will. So...I just see certain cultivars (i.e. cookies and cp) that develop swollen calyx's that are dense but not densly grown together if that makes sense. I am thinking of those old school hash plants and WLDs that grow so dense that all the vegetation matter, calyxs, thc ect get smashed up into this super tight dense nugget. You cant even really see the calyxs b/c they are so dense and stacked they get swollen up on each other and cruch each other, in a way....that might or might not make sense lol But imho those dense nugs are ripe for mold.
whats interesting about the CP is how dense it is, yet each calyx seems to be on its own, strong, and not getting crushed by the sheer mass of the flowers.
