How are they heroes ?
In my opinion a person must do more than their job description to be considered heroic..
If doctors and nurses are heroes so is anyone that goes to work day to day

please define in strict terms how troops (providing service for money) are different than those in the medical field (providing service for money)

Never said a word about hero worship....just empathy for a hard day/days.

I work in the skilled trades, my wife ( who is a nurse ) understands the toll of hard work and understands when I return home it may have been a heavy day...and my body needs rest.

Likewise, I understand the toll caring for critically ill people can bring...we have Empathy for the toll that work takes on each other...we both love our jobs, but they do take their toll.

Hopefully in your dying days you will receive quality care from someone who sees you as a human being, not just a paycheck for time served.

And I’m sorry ur wife chose a job she finds so difficult in the context of a pandemic.
Foresight isn’t her strong suit I suppose... but I’d don’t think it’s that crazy to think if you work in healthcare at somepoint you will have to take care of people with a communicable disease.

I was a certified emt.. but after doing the cert I decided I didn’t want to clean up dead babies off the side of the road...
So I did something else for work.
Perhaps she would be happier doing something else as well....
Do doctors and nurses get jail time for quitting their jobs nowadays?
