Up here in the north the days are so much longer stuff stays veg for a long time. My females began showing in early June. The late bloomers a week or two ago. I've been eradicating males based on asexual preflowers but I don't like guess work. By now I've got my seed males singled out. There's a Grape Ape/Sour Diesel that's probably male that smells amazingly fruity. It's a keeper for sure. Smells better than any male I've ever smelled.
Got a decent camera downloaded some pictures lets see if it works..

This should be a big Bangi male. I'll post some more if this works if not I'll figure it out.

Here's my little Bangi female. On the right is a Blue Flash a California cross a friend made of Blueberry and OG Kush.

For contrast here's a very Indica looking 5 g's blue
picture.php

You can really see the difference in color, leaf size and branching. I didn't expect the 5g's hybrid to be so dominated by Indica but I like it. It looks like it's really strong although it won't yield as much as 5g's reds I had last year that were more of a mix. The plant to the left is a Purple LUI/California Early Girl. The breeding done in Cali has changed it from a pure Indica into a hybrid of large proportions. The early girl was probably early giant purple sativa hybrid from Mendicino County. Here's a pic of just the LUI

Nice plants TheRevverend,

Hey Orfeas - How about an update picture close up of the Zamaldelica buds that already started flowering? Is it still progressing normally, even though extraordinarily early?

:chin:

Thanks,

ThaiBliss

I love the green but hate the out of focus:biggrin:

Konopenko, chainsaw and axe is what we have in common apart from growing!

ThaiBliss,
not only has she been flowering for a month now, but she is also fertile and productive having already provided two mature seeds and a few more are still coming with the one already in sight in the centre of the picture below. The close up was the best I could shoot due to limited quality of camera...

I agree try not to stare too long or you'll get a headache. I'll try and get it dialed in a little better. Plants have gotten much bigger.
Been cooking with my males using the fresh leaves in stews. Made a spicy Panang curry the other night. All out of Thai Basil so I used fresh male purple LUI tops instead. The fat in the coconut milk did a good job of extracting the THC. Ate a whole bunch of leftovers last night was high all night and into this morning. Nice body high combined with a meditative stone. Maybe I should of used the boy for breeding...

hey that sounds yummy! I have a fresh leg of lamb, curries, cocomilk, but no basil. Will fresh green cannabis tops work ?

Yep fresh green ganja shoots was what I used. Give it a good 5-10 minutes to soften up and for the fat in the coco milk to activate the THC. It'll be tasty.

My den is packed and the space to move around the bushes is getting more and more restricted.
No clear signs of flowering yet.

The little beast might not resemble cerberus at all, but it does keep grasshoppers at bay or in belly:biggrin:

Have a nice August, everyone!

Nice! This is turning into the year of the locust when I walk through the tall grass the leafhoppers swarm up with every step. I've taken to hosing my plants down to beat the heat and to rinse away the little peckers. When I do it at sunset the dragonfly comes and picks them off above my spraying.

Hear you loud and clear with them bloody peckers.
Never thought a dragonfly could possibly devour a locust though!

These guys are leafhoppers, little mini locusts. And my dragonflies are big. I've got a Stellars' blue jay as well. Once I figure the camera out I'll try and get a picture of him. He's a noisy one, the nemesis of my cat.

Hi Orfeas,

I love your Zamaldelica plant:

However, this is Bangi Haze "in the open":

:dance013:

Do you have a picture of just your Bangi Haze? Is it flowering yet?

Thanks,

ThaiBliss

Ohhh, ThaiBliss, what a gorgeous parade of dames there out in the open, indeed!

My Bangis suffer greatly restriction of space. I reckon I should have known better of the their growth, but now it's too late to amend the situation...

Anyway, the first two pics are of 1st Aug of the 1st and 2nd Bangi and the 3rd is of today od the 2nd Bangi. I am sorry I cannot shoot a whole body picture.
Real flowering is just about to begin and I suppose the imminent mini heat wave will sort of accelerate things...hopefully...

As for the Jamaldelica, it is not one plant but two, the one in the foreground with wilting tops is the smaller one with longer sharper leaves.

Orfeas,

Your Bangis are looking very well to me. The lizard seems very content. I wish I had a few of those hanging out. The katydids here are getting big enough to chew through the stems and kill a whole top bud, and have done so on a couple. I've been picking them off all summer, and the ones left are the ones wisest to my hunting techniques. To some extent, I just have to share.

Best of luck finishing out successfully from here on.
