Looks like a good male! Pretty branchy, and vigorous looking. 7 males to 19 females is a good ratio to work with. Its a Holy ratio, very good numbers to work with! God understands your mind is set on Him.... God guides, God protects, God blesses, thats who He is!

Tom Hill was saying in open pollination, if possible let all the pollen fly and then later generations make selections as you pursue specific goals. Doing so you don't lose any desirable traits in the line. But when you only have so much space, its pretty tough to do a full open pollination reproduction.

Tom spoke about the male pollen mix being a good idea, so 7 male plants should carry most of the desirable traits, especially if the line is pretty stable or true breeding for certain traits. You have to do this if you want your line to last. I have been using 2 males per year and having good success, but more is better.

I do not agree with this notion (for landrace), cannabis love to be selected and if you wanna play the role of Nature by full openpoll all then you have good chance to ruin your gene-pool in facts! Simply paradox! Unless using 2K of plants outdoor of course! ^^

I mean even with 150 plants your openpoll is selective and if you let all hermies and mutants play the game your offspring will be less good than if you no-select them to just keep 100 specimens.

All about recessive notion ya know, i think that cannabis landrace germplasm is much stronger than you might think!

Oh yeah, I think thats what Tom was saying, do your selections taking out undesirables but leave as many males as possible in the first reproduction cycle. I always plant extra seeds so I can be ruthless taking out ones that are slow growers or stunted, mutants, late flowering plants. Do a few selections, but use a male pollen mix to prevent from losing any good plants or traits in the offspring.

Thanks for fixing the photo Roms! Looks like a heavy hitter!

I didn't realize Jacks Cleaner has Lambsbread in it!

Aspicolli posted in the BOG Sour Bubble thread the lineage for BOG Lifesaver.

Jacks cleaner description talks about the Jamaican (Lambsbread) in it.

I had Jacks cleaner in the North Jam hybrid I think it was years ago by Hill Temple Collective. And it was a great line. Jamaican is a good breeding tool. Got it in my Sativa Candy Chunk cultivar too, but its jamaican spear.

Thanks for the dub riddems, Rom! Good luck finding a landrace sativa from Etheopia! Not sure if I have come across that, alrough lots of people love the Malawi, which is African I think.

That flower probably isn't a mature ripe flower is it? Guess there is some breeding work to do with the line to beef it up a little bit. Really doesn't matter, it grows the same amount of flower one way or another. Would like to see how the traits show when grown outdoors. I bet they beef up with a little more weight when grown larger outdoors in the sun.

Kwik Seeds doesnt have Lambsbread. It is actually a Double Jam repro sold by a pollen chucker named Magic Herbs who posted under the name 2st4this or something like that on here. He documented the grow. He fucked it up and ended up culling some plants that shouldn't have been culled.
The line is a hybrid. The Blue Mountain side shows BLD influence including 60 day finishers. The line has potential but will need some work to get it back to what it was. It exists in the hands of Roms and a few others, their lines are good but the rest of us are working with what Magic Herbs put out.

I documented my grow here in the landrace section titled Jamaican, Dub Stylee. Selections were based on my familiarity of the old line Lambsbread from trips to Jamaica in the early 80's. I did get some of the Lambsbread high to come thru but will need to work on it. Hoping to do a large-scale selection next round.

Exotic Alchemy Jamaican Lambsbread

"The Original Blue Mountain Jamaican Lambsbread from the old Wild Rose Seed Co stock. A great yielding heirloom with an amazing over ripe pineapple and sandalwood flavor. Very creativity inducing effects."

*Richard Williams from hempdepot if you really looking for the long long flowering Lambsbread
