Thank you for the kind words mezzi. Glad you are enjoying.

From the Senegal mom, I hope to find that rotten mango fruity smell of the mom, a medium density and good frost. I am sure they wont get close to finishing outside, as they are barely throwing pistils still. I have the most aggressive plants cloned indoors and will try em out inside. I never planned on them finishing outside, but I was hoping that I would get a feel for what they were like, but I am doubting that now.

some test pictures as my laptop is a bitch when it comes to putting up flipped photos on this site. updates are coming in a sec.
edit: I will work on the sideways pics before updating on my plants

The Sinai. Maybe 70% have the nice red color. 50% have the perfume type scent I want. I think both are dominant traits in my seeds. here are a few pics of the more red ones and a group shot. plus the center shot on the above post.

Some more random pics. pic one and two are jilly bean. pic 3 and 4 are Yunnan from ace.

The jilly bean are all super frosty, some are changing color. smell is a fruity sherbet type smell. really nice.

I also like the Yunnan, sort of a menthol type smell slightly. I don't think I can explain the smell but I really like it. good frost.

my skunk #1 are doing good. They have a menthol resin smell with the slightest hint of skunk. not what I expected. decent resin, but less than the others. just look like normal green bud.

oh yeah, forgot. I harvested my two indoor barneys farm critical cure cbd plants. got just about an ounce off of both. One smells of a citrus funk, pic 5 and 6. the other is like a chocolate resin, pic 7.

Yes, compared to the variation you can get with rsc gear, these are pretty uniform on alot of levels. I would love to see yours. If you want and are able, feel free to show em off here.

absolutly love the show here jact55 :) .
have you kept some sinai males to select them depending the progeny they produce ? to discard the perfume males from the others .
this is something i'd like to do in the future.

@ manivelle- actually that is what i meant to do this grow, but wasnt able to. I popped 18 seeds, 50/50 m/f ratio. I kept 2 males but they ended up dying in my great drought of september (i was out of town 3 out of 4 weeks). A few femal clones died too. Eventually, i hope to keep a male and female mother from this strain, plenty of seeds to still sort through. I am optimistic as that perfume smell, red colors and heavy yeild seem to be dominant traits.

Thanks you old bootz. Odd question, you actually in africa? Or a random thing you put? Just curious about your experiences with plants of you are there...

I put my first batch of winter reproduction run seeds in paper towels the other day. They are almost all now in soil, few more left to pop. I am going to reproduce 6 strains this winter. 3 tents, a strain per tent.
First three- just put in soil
12 ea- ace malawi- all 12 have popped
12 ea- ace ethiopia- think 8 have popped
10 ea- rsc mazar i sharif, 9 have popped

Late winter
Rsc kerala
French touch K1 zamal
Ace guatemala
(If i ever get my testers of durban poision {african seeds repro} it would take the spot of one of these)

So i can never remember ace from cannabiogen, sorry of some of those are cannabiogen strains.

Just chopped an early jilly bean, and two sinai. I have a week left before freezing temps could set in, although its been nice lately. Next weekend, all outdoor plants are probably coming down. Ill share pics as i chop.

Really looking forward to seeing how you do with the K1 indoors. I've got a pack in the fridge, but I've only seen it grown outdoors before, so I'm a little worried about the stretch. It seems pretty wild.

I hope you get the DP soon!

Hello all thanks for the compliments. Im sure the K1 will stretch plenty, ill just tie the shit out of them.
The numbers are in:
12 of 12 malawi popped and are healthy
9 of 12 ethiopia popped and are healthy
10 or 10 mazar popped, 9 are healthy.
So 12/9/9 respectively.
I also decided to pop a handful of panama x blueberry i got from a kind soul. Just put em in paper towels a few minutes ago. Thinking some malawi pollen on em might be nice. Ill find room for em somewhere lol.

So the outdoor season is coming to a close. Up here in the cold north, it has actually been a late season. Normally I struggle to get to mid-October, but I still have my Senegal plants outside getting plenty of sun. This weather trend is supposed to hold until Wednesday, then snow and lows well below freezing. Would have never thought that I would have plants make it until novemeber, I'll take it.

I have harvested all of my other plants, I will do a post each writing up about these strains. I have not smoked all of them, as some have only been in jars for a day or two.

First the Senegal that are still going. They are not going to finish, but have gotten further than I could have hoped. they are starting to show crystal, smells are a sweet with a touch of fuel or fruit. I am sure that the smells would have developed further if given the time. Here are a few pics from today. I figure come Wednesday ill harvest and see if I can get anything smokeable.

Now the Sinai. From the 9 females I have learned that in my reproduction seeds stock, the nice incense smell and red color is dominant. They all get huge buds in comparison to any other strain I have grown, but they are airy no doubt. My original plans was to find a keeper, but my clones didn't all make it. I cant say, that despite the nice color and smell, I would call any of them "the one" though. I suspect one got some stray Nepal pollen. I just cut her today. Taller plant, with Sinai bud structure but that Nepal plant smell, obviously a later flowerer too. (last pics is her)

Some pics from when I cut them mid-October. Some photos show plants that were wet from rain.

Ace Yunnan- had two femmed plants. really bummed these aren't out there in standard seeds anymore. Tall plants, little to no side branching, heavy buds with good crystal. The smell was unique and hard to explain. a hash smell with something extra, herbal, menthol, I dunno. They were some of the last to be cut down.

my non-landrace plants

TGA Jillybean- had 5 females from 5 seeds, a little bummed I didn't get a male, but oh well. Smells were awesome. A fruity/sherbet/melon medley. Found two phenos, a less dense, purple earlier finishing pheno and a more dense, green, later pheno.

Seedsman Skunk #1- I had two females, and gifted two to a family member. Uniform in structure and smell across the board. The smell was not skunky, but more of a resin menthol that is curing nicely in jars and becoming more pronounced.

First three are a jilly bean plant, last one is the skunk. I didn't take as many pics of these strains.
Note that all outdoor plants were in one gallon or two gallon pots, most in one gallon. They all got anywhere from 5-8 feet tall, but only produced but on the top two or three feet, making a funny looking plant...

Lastly- My indoor seed plants are in full swing, all looking so much different from one another. The Mazar has wide leaves and are all twice as tall as the other plants, stretching upwards, they will be giant. The Malawi are having some deficiency not sure, maybe magnesium, I am working on addressing that. they have medium thin leaves. the Ethiopian plants have the thinnest leaves but are the shortest, very tight nodes. a couple plants are also having a healthy issue, but a different thing is causing this. not common for me to have this, I will get 'er corrected. I have 5 panama x bb, that just popped above soil. They have a very unique trait, 4 of the 5 have extra false leaves. 2 have three false leaves, and 2 have 4 false leaves. has anyone else seen this??
I'll post pics of indoors later on, enough for now.

I have 2 packs of Bohdi's China (Yunnan) Cangshan Mountain Sativa and I wonder how they compare.
