if there never were subsidies then tomatoes would have been a luxury to most.
subsidies artificially deflate the price of goods and make the farmer dependent on them.
ending them will bring the price of tomatoes back to where they should be.
this just proves that the cost of tomatoes is a lot less than it should be.
transitive properties would suggest without subsidies you wont see a rapid deflation in mj prices with legalization.
