Washington state resident/patient here.....

I'm not surprised it passed, yet I'm surprised it passed. That make sense? There are some parts of the initiative I really wish were written differently.... and I hope this doesn't exploit and ruin the industry....

But on that note.... shall be very interested to see what happens in every aspect of this. With the feds, especially.

Edit: And don't take my post as negative.... This is huge step forward in our one common goal.

Woohoo! Which has the best looking women? Colorado or Washington? lol
smoking one up for the lucky mofo's over their!!!can you say legal!!!!Woop de wooop!
free the weed.
mack.

Colorado has some beautiful women :) So many people here, like myself, aren't native to CO... so the hotties came from somewhere.

However, if you move to CO and are out of shape or suffer from low self esteem, or are even a pale world of warcraft nerd... that can all change in a summer or two. I became so much more active out here, found a lot of outdoorsy hobbies that were great, lost weight, got a tan, felt better about myself and life in general. Maybe that's why average girls can move to CO and in a very short while be babes.

Good gosh though, I had a med card a few years ago but never stopped growing or at least keeping mothers going. Now I can legally do this. It is truly a great day.

Please don't move here to make money, and please don't come 'visit' CO to smoke weed and act like it's Amsterdam. That's not going to help the public opinion or rest of the country's opinion.

Move here to escape persecution, discover a forward thinking state, and enjoy the incredible beauty that's hard to miss here. Seriously, this is a wonderful state... enjoy all it has to offer if you're moving here!

is cultivating MJ will be legal too ?

please
thanks

Six plants total, 3 mature, just like the existing medical laws. They say only an oz in your possession but that doesn't make any sense and I'm sure no one will abide by it. I wouldn't be caught outside the house with more than an oz, but if I accumulate an excess from a harvest (hard not to running 3 giants in vertical) then I plan to vacuum seal it and tuck it away. These laws do not allow for money making unless you're exceeding certain limits... and you know what, that's fine - it's such an improvement for everyone here!

Alright! Even tho I am Canadian, I was more interested in this than the main election. Looks like we got a "foot in the door" in those states - and it is indeed a start.

Here's to hoping that it goes well and that gov't's in other places can finally see that there is a mountain of cash to be made, and that the sky will not fall when cannabis is legal.

Kudos to Washington and Colorado for hopefully being the proverbial "beginning of the end" to the madness that has surrounded cannabis for way too long!

 :rasta:

Peace

Congratulations to Colorado and Washington!:tiphat:
Now the next stage of the fight begins, taking on the Fed. This should be very interesting with all the states that have Medical and now two legal, yes this will be interesting indeed.

I think the next step in facing the feds is the get More States on Board. The more states that approve the more you weaken the fed stance.

Generally feeling...WOOOOHOOOOO!!

I understand these new laws aren't written in the best way. That isn't unusual when it comes to legislation. More normal that things are initially written less than perfect and are updated with improvements at a later date.

Feds are likely going to fight this, will be interesting to see how that all shakes out.

Every big wave starts out as a little swell.....

they didn't even legalize it. read fucking amendment 64 and you will see that its very easy to pick up felonies in Colorado still for pot.

in fact there amendment 64 provided NO PROTECTION for citizens at all.

and now i have to worry about getting a fucking THC-DUI every time i get in my car.

its a fucking horrible amendment; 1 ounce or less was already decriminalized so this does effectively NOTHING!

it just opens to door for some very rich folks to take over and control the whole fucking industry.

Such a buzz kill. You have been bitching and crying in every celebratory thread. I bet you are a really fun guy to get stoned with. Sorry you cannot make your big profits from your little hobby anymore. Why don't you put yourself in most people's shoes here, those that do not grow for profit and just like to light one up and have some fun with their friends. Your nagging and bitching is getting old. And if you neg rep me for this I will neg you back. So just chill out and let those celebrate that want to. I am sure if you are bootleg now you will find a way to successfully bootleg in the future.

Waddup jiggy....tell ya what...i started campaigning for legalization in the mid 80's....and never stopped(well..a stint in the army)...this issue has been where the majority of my lifes passion has resided...for three decades i doubted i would see this in my lifetime...the last 2 years i have seen more momentum then in all my life...and its just starting..lots of fighting left...but i actually believe it will happen...i know it will....we may not end up w something that will make us all perfectly happy...but if it keeps people out of jail...
Anyways...yes..a great day in our history as far as this old timer is concerned

So whats up with growing? Or is that the same?

Still illegal in WA. Except for mmj patients. Not sure if it even changes the penalties or how that will all pan out.

But as somebody above just mentioned, in CO, legal to grow a small # of plants.
