Best of luck, Trout. I really hope all works out for ya'. If you find yourself back east let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

That's rough news trout, but you don't seem like the kind of guy that will let this get the best of you. The gym membership is a good idea, sometimes college gyms are easy to get into for cleanup, that's what I used in the eighties. Having a car to sleep in is not that bad, especially when its cold at night. Plus your mobile and can find safer areas to stay. I got back on my feet by working day jobs and buying and selling weed, eventually setting up a grow. Libraries have internet access.
Hoping things turn around for you sooner than later.

ugh sorry to hear about your troubles, but unlike me you look like you could take a missile strike and live, and I mean that as a compliment! :D ;) I don't remember too much day to day, but remember that you have been at times a huge pain in the ass but mostly a breath of fresh air and yourself and not pretending to be anything else... I admire that and I know you can kick my ass so you can overcome this and be better than ever. Good luck man! You don' need it you will overcome, I only wish I was as strong! And I wished I lived in San Diego and could take you up on your offer early in this thread... but thousands of miles away, and besides, I can't ever seem to get things to do better than barely acceptable... I can't figure it out, it should all be "dialed in" as they say but things grow and look promising and then just poop out and don't fill in and yield like they should... anyway, I must say I would have expected you to be well prepared and have like 8 backup plans and plenty of insurance should we say... but I may be confusing you with someone else and even if not I wish you well and don't want you to get the wrong idea that I am being an ass. No way, keep hope alive always as I have for decades, in situations resembling your current situation all that whole time, and it will all work out in the end. best wishes

It's all hills and Valleys Trout.Things will get better for you because you're a good dude.
Putting some things down and running a little lighter for a bit sounds like the start of a good plan.
Keep your fishing pole with you and stay true to yourself.
We have all been there.

Positive vibes and prayers for your well being:clover:

Wifi is free in lots of places, not just libraries. Go to any Starbucks (or near one) and you'll pick up a signal. You don't have to pay phone bills for your smart phone to work as a mini computer with internet access. Tablets and laptops are the same. Laptops are harder to charge, but that's also free in a lot of places.

I would consider internet access a basic fundamental need in life in a time like this. That's how you can do research, plan out your approach, and find new opportunities.

There are also smartphone apps that let you make phone calls through the internet free of charge. Voice over IP. You just need a wifi connection for it to work. You can tell your cell phone provider to fuck off and still use the phone to get on the internet and make phone calls. Both of these seem critical for doing research and finding new opportunities in the modern world.

He is just changing living spaces?
His entire universe is about to explode. He cant grow out of his car. He cant take a shower or shit in his car. No refrigerator. No bed.
He is better off living in a tent somewhere, hopefully Not in Seattle where the drug and murder rate is astronomical.
Ok, maybe he can take a shit in his car..things dont get much worse then that.

So did mine, once. Lived in my truck for a month and slowly crawled out of a deep hole.

I wish Trout all the best.

At the very least, this is the time of year to be homeless for a couple months.

Grab the fastest flowering plants, a tent and head for the hills. And don't forget the fishing pole. Itll keep your belly full.

don't know if this is useful, but some have gotten it to work
California and camping? maybe try camping in gold country
an improvised pan, a home made sluice, a little of the yellow metal would help
and gold price is on the rise of late
