Is this a Potassium deficiency?

Help please! Is this a Potassium deficiency?

The lower leaves are green and fine with normal yellowing on the very bottom oldest.

I think she still has some time. Like as long as I can with the weather. 1-3 weeks might have 2 more weeks of warm weather with cool nights.
Weather has been high 70's and mid 80's. Coldest night 37 and 39. Otherwise in the 40's and 50's.
Humidity has been very low for weeks.

Expert Seeds Gorilla Cheese outdoors in soil. Soil is a mix of Miracle-gro potting soil, Miracle-gro garden soil, Miracle gro perlite, Happy frog, and native soil. Native soil is a lay with a little sand.

I have seen some Gorilla Glue take huge amounts of fertilizers so I think she might be a hungry one too.

I have been feeding 8/16 Lucas Formula with 2.5ml per gal of liquid Kool Bloom. Most of the time water, fertilize, water, fertilize, water. I ran straight water a few times and once fed back to back.

All the other plants look just fine and look like they could take more. She has had some lighter colors for some time but its showing up more now. Bud are massive rocks that stink. Im having to keep my eye on her for bud rot and such.

No PHing.

I would say there is a potassium deficiency starting. Maybe try watering in some molasses.
But with three weeks or less left, I would not worry too much about it. The plant will take what it needs from the fan leaves. It might not look great as Senescence takes hold and the leaves die off, but the buds are looking excellent.

Some harvest ideas on the above thread hope it helps :huggg:

I wouldn't give them anything especially molasses unless u want horrible tasting dope. No harm intended last poster. Those plants are almost done give them straight water and strip yellow leaves.
I agree with Linde, they look perfectly fine, that is natural in flowering for them to consume fan leaves starting from the bottom working up.

Awesome everybody I appreciate the input and advice.

It looks like the weather's changing for the worst probably starting Monday next week. That gives me 6 days. Should I hit them with fertilizer one more time including dry Kool Bloom 1.25 and set the Lucas formula at 4/8ml per gallon? They got only water last time. I figure I can fertilized tonight and water again on Friday or Saturday then cut them on Sunday or Monday evening.

If the forecast looks better and I can get two weeks should I fertilize one more time if not this time?

I personally wouldnt water them or fertiliz them, check for any bud rot and the first time you see some its time to clean the infected parts out and save the rest. its a indoor hybrid use to dry climate with ac/humidifiers so let the soil get really dry, the afghani genetics it it dont like the humidity and excess water that late in flowering. it wont hurt the plant starving it of water a few days if it was experiencing rot rot and excess humidity.

No rot that I have seen. It has been extremely dry with low humidity here thank God.

The plant I posted has the biggest hardest buds out of anything else, she is the one I am worried about with rot. The only other thing I have been dealing with is caterpillars. Found some mainly on one plant 3-4 weeks ago and they disappeared. Now I have found a few more. Seems every year I get a few nicks on a few buds from the little bastards

Youll be okay which ever you choose. as Healthy as that one looks.

I noticed the rot is either coming either form where there have been bugs, bird turds, broken branches or where defoliation has left lacerations.

if you aren’t dealing with the latter then you Will be alright whatever you choose.

The plants don't need to be fed a few days before harvest and water only if they need some. You should inspect closely the plants with really big flowers as they are the first touched by mold. I hope all will be ok for your harvest, it's better to have to have plants with yellow leaves at the end rather neon green, the smoke will be smoother if there is less nutrients in the dry flowers.

Yes, mold is a concern of mine. Had it once before on big ass buds.
she is so big and tight, thank god we have not had rain in 4 weeks and its been warm with low humidity but we have had cold nights around 37-39f. Have only seen dew twice on the car windows. Shoot its 18% humidity outside right now.

They looked dry today, so I gave them a mix of 4/8 Lucas and 1.25 of dry Kool Bloom per gal

My chickens shit all over my garden and seems to bother nothing. They hang out under the plants all the time ad poop. Have no grasshoppers now. They ate them all lol. I know if they see other bugs on them they eat them. They only ate on the plants when they where young and had new tender growth.

My chickens are the same :) you have to keep the small plants' and seeded ones away from them though. they love seeds!

Why not molasses? It imparts no taste to the plant. It is not absorbed by the plant. The molasses feeds the soil organisms which use the sugar to multiply and convert nutrients to a form usable by the plant. The only downside of molasses is that the soil organisms utilize it very quickly, and then their number crash back to pre-molasses levels.

Good question to ask, I try not to use sweetners late in flowering with organic soils, because i want a slightly fungi/dominant soil in flowering, i use it more in veg and transition to have a slightly bacterial dominant soil to free up more nitrogen, but no sweetners in flowering so the fungi can establish better to free up more P.

Takes time to break down. Im using salts in the ground. I built cheap soil that works for a season.
Yes I can use it again next season.

Ill update in a few days with photos.
Thanks for all the input.

You've never smoked that sticky icky Demerara weed? It's fucking gross. Grinder will stick to your hand a month after you've abandon it for later cleaning.

How are you choosing to feed the microbes. Roots can grab sucrose and produce their own invertase toy to break it into the primary metabolites of photosynthesis fructose and glucose. But then they don't use it? Seems odd. And where are the microbes getting their N to compost the C. From the plant? Isn't molasses just another method of flushing excess N then?

No, roots do not grab sucrose. The microbes use it. If you have anything that supports the contention that the plant uses the sugar directly, I’d like to read it. I have a botany degree, and it’s certainly not what I learned.

By this stage, the plants are getting most of their K from older growth. Feeding them some, won't have a big effect. K needs loading in through late veg and transition. It's a job for next time.

I would of still given them some. The ground needs it.
