Think about that statement...
Seeds from bags of imported weed in the 70's are the building blocks of most of the strains available...
Your lack of belief, or your almost witty sarcasm don't change that...

Have you even ever smoked any of the chemdogs?

Yeah, holy grail weed can come from bagseed...
Hell, alot of 'elite' weed comes from seeds found in bags on dead tour...

point by point

1. agree that imported weed is the building block of todays strains
2. there is no lack of belief in that
3. i dunno if i ever smoked chemdog's shit
4. agree 'good weed' can and has come from bag weed

B U T ... ' a ' seed from a bag has become the building block for what seems like every elite strain in the world... and chemdog guards his mums like gold at fort knox... and he gives a clone out to this guy and that guy... with stipulations blah...blah.blah...

sorry i ain't buying... that guys (breeders) have traveled the world and brought back with them elite cuttings and/or seeds, and started their work producing todays hybrids, i accept... that guys have found seeds in kick-ass pot, and grown em out, crossed em... certainly..i've done that too...

BUT that this one fuckin seed found in a bag is the holy grail ... sorry ain't buyin it... :joint: :joint:

what, so bagseed cant produce amazing weed? how many grows have you done? i have grown a lot of bagseed that was superior to any dutch genetics i have tried.

trying to equate bagseed to corn kernels from feed corn is retarded. if you arent growing it or at least smoking it, theres no weight to your opinion.

i have re-read my post, and i can't find where i stated that bagweed can't produce amazing weed... but since i am retarted, maybe u can point out where i stated that.

what i said was, i can't believe that ' a ' seed from a bag, is the building block for every fuckin elite strain today...

as to my 'corn' quote... it was a lame attempt to be chris rock... and i am sorry for offending you..

and as to opinions... i am sure u have heard the expression 'they are like assholes'...

i understood your "feed corn" reference to be the corn equivalent to a commercial crop from which a seed was selected.

and you dont need to believe anything, you dont have a cut. chemdawg is a parent of sour diesel and og kush, as well as the other crosses chemdog made. besides chemdawg #4 and bubba kush, i dont have any "elites" with chemdawg in it.

a list of circulating elites with chemdawg somewhere in the make-up:
og kush(es)
bubba kush(es)
sour diesel
...all the other "elites" with chemdawg in the make-up are in the hands of about 10 people. its quite a long shot from "every fuckin elite strain today."

C99 had the same bagseed story. Goes to show that sometimes random crosses can create just as good results as intentional ones...

What exactly is the cross that created chemdog is an interesting question..

Well if you ask me, if 6 were not keepers, then the chemdog genetics do have some faults in them. That is only 50% keepers. I do'nt know why one has to pay thousands of dollars just to get a taste of this chemdog. I know its special, but come on, this is suppose to be a herb that helps people and not make them broke. Hopefully, one day this chemdog genetics will be available to the world at a affordable price. After all there is not much selection that needs to be done because the clone is already there. I mean looking for a male to breed with the clone should'nt be hard.

Keep in mind that the Trinity auction was a charity event so I think that people bid more than they normally would.

As far as finding a male to breed with, that is easier said than done seeing how Chemdog is a clone only strain. I did cross the D with Doubledog (I think JJ of NyC did the same cross) but I haven't grown them out yet. Doubledog is good weed but what I've smoked isn't quite as potent as the D. I have used Doubledog in quite a few crosses with pretty good results. So far I've grown out Strawberry D x DD and Blockhead x DD and I have Astroboy x DD at about four weeks of flower, Romberry haze x DD at about a week of flower, and the Conquistador x DD seeds are just cracking. I am going to try germing the Chemdog D x DD beans soon but with Chemdog D in my garden the other crosses have held my interest more.

Chemdog seems pretty cool-being a fellow native masshole I'm waiting patiently for him to release his own seeds-he said they would be no more than $60 or so-very reasonable and would carry way better karma than the current offerings which may have stunning individuals in the gene pool but in the end are going to probably do more harm than good for the overall community

how do u know i don't have a cut... i have grown numerous varieties of some killer weed including some diesels and kushes, so one of my mums mite very well be an offspring of this holy grail... tho i doubt it...

oh again my apologizes i should have said ..it seems like it is in "ALMOST' every fuckin elite strain... are u now happy that i made that clairification???

I'm not a snob man-I think every plant is wonderful in its own right-nothing shitty about it brahling :sasmokin:
isn't it funny that I'm perfectly content with my bubble gum,2 SAGE phenos, sensi star and SD IBL until I open threads like these?
looks like i should just go ahead and cross all of my strains with SD IBL pollen and work on my own elites! :moon:

I just gave the rest of my SD IBL seeds away and tossed the clones, for some reason all I got was hermies..:chin:

I dont know about breeding with it, some have success, I didnt have, maybe it was just bad seeds, these were the ones I got directly from Rez last april, they look poor like he said himself, almost white seeds, maybe just bad luck but really dont know, runts and hermies, maybe theres a good one somwhere in there but damn, to buy a 100 pack of SD IBL to find a good one..well, you need a truckload of money for that, no negative vibes, Im just being honest like we all should be.
