Is the power factor in the OG growfaq true

Well looks like I gotta shut it down. My electric bill goes thru my renters, who are my inlaws, and they're coming over shortly to try and explain a bill that is higher than theirs, and they have a heated garage. I've got lots of alibis, but there seems to be no way around it. I run a converted 150 w security + 4 cfls! HOw much a months should this cost!?!?!?!

Can someone, anyone PLEASE find me a link with some sort of calculator...i know I've seen them but didn't look...this sucks hard...my ballast doesn't even get very hot...must be the industrial design, meant to suck power instead of conserve it...this sucks this sucks this sucks

dude, that's one of my alibis, i spend alot of time on the cpu, and it's always on. 400watts though? I had no idea. thanks

Kind of closing the gate after the horse has escaped.
Sounds like you got great in-laws, if they are that anal. Tell them, you have pc on all the time, take showers after hot sex with his daughter all the time and sometimes, when you both are feeling nasty, you stripped down the nothing, turn the oven up and get the place nice and hot, so you can have more hot sex, right on the kitchen table, just beside where he has his arm.
Then tell them, you will try to have less hot sex and conserve more energy, but in the meantime pay the difference with the electric bill, as you didn't know it would be an issue and feel rather like a child, having to explain your foken homelife to them.
Then conserve electricity, replace lights for cf l's, buy a laptop run on batteries often, and try to have less hot sex.
