Is Nevilles Haze still the strongest haze?

In terms of potency and quality of high, Nevilles Haze was by far the superior strain.

Now, after growing SDIBL since they were first released, I've decided I want to get back into the hazes.

So, the question I have for haze growers is:

If focussing ONLY on the power and quality of the high - which SEEDBANK (no clone onlys please) has the best HAZE these days?

Thanks for any help...

JKD

The original question for this thread was asking which seedbank has the best haze.

From the commercially available ones out there, I would think that MNS has some of the best stuff available. I dont see it posted up right now, but if you can get your hands on MNS Nevilles Haze x Mango Haze I doubt you will be disappointed.

I was at the house of a local grower last week and he fired up a couple bowls of NH x MH with me, and I thought it was as good or better than any sativa type plant I have grown in the last 30 years. He had several mother phenos and he says these plants finish several weeks faster than the pure NH from clones. It is some really good stuff and I'll be keeping an eye out for those when they go up for sale again. He also had the NH x AF/Sk, and I though that was top shelf also.

the method of growing is contained in the original haze poster i posted in the past i'm sure you can find it.
i never did any breeding, was privileged to be given the seeds each year provided i never made seeds which i respected, which is what it was all about back then.
my mentor pollinator selectively, using the best female and male each year.

I am interested in seeing the poster but cant find it..:dunno: Is it the pic in your avatar,

Hi humble1
Those seeds were limited edition ones that were up for sale recently, but I just did a search and I did not see them anymore. They were available for the last 6 months or so from various seed sites. I am sure they might pop up again if we are lucky. I think they were available for a goood amount of time because many people just dont want to spend the time necessary to finish the hazes. I think I will PM Gypsy when my post count is up and ask him if he can get some for me/us.

Hempy,
I would love to see some of your photo's mate. I wish I could photo the ones growing here in Cali, but the growers dont like cameras at their sites. Most of my local growers here dont even own computers either.

You must have been...:D

The Nevil's Skunk (NH x AF/Sk) is currently available at one vender...not sure if I can mention them here, but they have a helpdesk at MNS, if that helps...Nev's Skunk is quickly becoming legendary, as it is done in 9-12 weeks and gives a powerful social high that people are loving...some have already called it a SuperStrain the likes of SSH and MH...I cannot attest to that myself, however...Nevil's Mango (NH x MH) is sold out everywhere, but should be back on the shelves when Shanti returns...that is another new creation which simply flew off the shelves...all reports indicate this is another must-have from Shanti...at 62.5% haze, rumor has it this could be a holy grail strain...keep your eyes peeled...you could easily pick up a pack...as I said, Nev's Skunk is available right now...happy hunting, my friends...jay:)

Hi All

well there is always alot of speculation on which strain is what or the best...it all really depends on the grower....as we all grow the best weed?

All hazes and their hybrids and several others will be freshly made and ready at MNS by late Feb to early March so come visit to get the low down there and ask here for sales by march I would expect. All the best for the new decade and be safe and well Sb

red sap re-visited

red sap re-visited

I've been lurking for months, but have to jump in and express my appeciation for this thread. Sweet creator, it's nice to see I'm not the only fool losing nights of sleep over my sativa project. Having experienced hazes from both Amsterdam and NYC, I've gone searching for my own cat-piss-sandalwood-pine-incense momma and a stud poppa for mating with a select GN Haw. Indica x Maui Wowie and an SR71 Purple kush. Here's what I got from holland in November...

TFD Ohaze (20)
TFD HazeMist (10)
Serious Kali Mist
Freebie Super Sexy Haze (10 anyone else heard of it?)
DNA Sourcream (10)

I popped a variety of these on New Years and all are doing well, averaging about 6" in solo cups of coco/perl with a pinch of worm castings. Upon topping last week, I too discovered a TFD Ohaze with red sap. Anyone aside from happyhi (tks sir!) have budshots or final smoke reports on plants exhibiting the blood sap? Just to confirm, these are Columbian/S. American "punto rojo" traits, and are representative of the herb first grown by the Haze bros, correct? That being the case, isn't this red sap/columbian -trait something of a special pheno?

Also, the above pic is from JLP, and looks exactly like my little one... cheers

TFD Haze Mist lineage?

TFD Haze Mist lineage?

Does anyone know what the parents were for TFD's Haze Mist? Kerala was the male or the female? Was the ohaze component the same as the donor parents that go into making ohaze, or was it selected progeny of ohaze?

I think indifferent has the right idea: to stop losing sleep researching a strain's (often questionable) lineage, and grow it out for ourselves. Naturally, that's the only way to make an informed decision, but the temptation to rely on other's experiences is great indeed, and I think the need to be 'informed' before pulling the trigger on high priced beans has paralyzed me (and others)... In many ways these threads are a blessing and a curse: spending hours reading about other grower's experiences with strains can be helpful to highlight common pitfalls, but in the end one individual's experience is just that - their own.

It seems like the real 800lb gorilla in the room is everyone's appetite for new information on these old sativa/haze keystone lines... all of 'em: the columbians, the mexicans, the thais, the indians...I mean, how old is this thread and how many pages does it have already? Why is there so little in the way of actual content, the meaty details of each grower's input, and such a glut of nitpicky detail nagging? Bottom line: we need to stop looking backward and get our asses in gear on generating new information with specific answers (nutes regimen, pH, medium, air temps, daylength, time to maturity, smoke reports etc.) relating to many of these old treasures. :smokeit:

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but this seems like an issue that isn't being addressed directly. Cheers - ftw

I grew some AH#1. It took 5 months to flower (9 months total from seed), and was a pain in the ass to grow. This stuff is psychedelic though, VERY high head buzz, the best shit I've smoked to date...

I spent alot of time there in those days. especially the 60s and 70s in Capitola, Sea Cliff, and Old Santa Cruz. Then in the 80s and 90s we had a place in Rio Del Mar every year for two weeks free of charge. I was oblivious to the projects being undertaken in the area. Now when I read this stuff, Im proud of the work that has been acomplished in this neck of the woods
