well lets rephrase the question

well lets rephrase the question

I lost it and I DESPERATELY want it back!!!!!

Yield....check
Potent...check
Easy to grow...check
Flavor....check

Yep!

That being said, current strain that seems to be stacking up to the hype is MAC. Never smoked it so can't say for sure, but those who's opinions I value seem to like it a lot.

Do you guys know of anyone who got a GG#4 cut and made a stable potent line that does the orig justice? secondly......i found a tangerine cultivar in my gardens that was HEADS AND TAILS better then most american cuts ive tried....wish i knew where it came from lol

in the Cali Wholesale thread... Glue commands 3-4 less points per unit than the "Exotics"
You would probably know better than me if your in the biz but is that hype of the latest and greatest ?? What are the exotics in your neck of the woods so to speak ? I like many of us haven't had the chance to walk into dispensary and go shopping. Someday,, I dont grow for anyone other than us and a bit for gifting.

If your growing just for personal use.... Glue is as good as any of the new stuff... just not purple and everyone with their Mom grew it to the point of Blue Dream status.. but if youve never tried it...you'll like it alot

Taking all market factors and hype out of the equation glue still stacks up to anything around. Amazing yields, great for hash, awesome terpene profile, pretty easy to grow.

If you are looking for a potent plant that will give you plenty of smoke until the next run this one is for you.

This post says a lot about the industry and what legalization and going mainstream has done to cannabis.
Both Blue Dream and GG4 are great strains but in today’s climate of influencers and social media it’s all about the newest thing and being the person to start a new trend.

So to answer the title of this thread, yes it’s still all that, why wouldn’t it be, what would have changed to make it anything less than it previously was besides “hype”.

People need to stop trying to find the next great thing and just grow and smoke what they enjoy. It’s that mentality that has led us to where all these new “strains” have just bottlenecked the genetics to a point that it’ll all eventually smell and taste the exact same. People if you want to find the next big strain stop crossing the same clones over and over into each other and go back and start doing some real breeding with old school and landrace strains. Heck just do some real breeding and stop with the pollen chucks.

I have my staples. Plants that have been and will be around. But I also like hunting for the next new thing. This plant has evolved side by side with human kind for ages, and it will continue to. You can’t stop it. It’s just the way it works.

What a great symbiotic relationship!

So, a little off topic- I’m wondering what your staples are?

I have no interest in the whole bag appeal thing. I dont understand why people would worry more about what it looks like than how it smokes. But its evidently is a thing.

The newst, latest and greatest are not what I seek, Im still looking for one more, maybe two holy grail type cuts. I dont have the personal experience of some of the new flash in the pan "gotta have it" things but I agree there must be a bunch of marketing hype. The staying power of some of the older strains that sill are being chased and used to breed says all I need to hear. You guys whould know better than me but how many strains that were smoking hot a couple years back are now forgotten while Haze and ECSD etc are still kicking the ass of all comers. There are a few things though Id like to try to grow out from Karma.

Glue is still a solid go-to when I can't find OG. Very few strains out there can stack up to GG4's strength.

GG4 also seems to cross well with OG. Every GG4/OG cross I've had was extremely powerful.

91 chem
OG kush
Shoreline Skunk
Oaxacan
Oaxacan x Affie
Sour D

These are the lines I’ll never get rid of. Things come and go but these have always stuck around and have been the backbone of my breeding since I could remember.
