Nice to know was wondering about that.... I know agrowtech has already or is close to releasing one too.... Was supposed to be ready for release in December, but I never think to talk about it..... I dont have s iPhone, but I've got an iPad to run it from.

Since nobody posted I'll give my opinion. That looks way cooler than the iponic screen. I haven't directly interfaced my iponic with a pc though (don't know if possible). What is vpd?

Privateaero

Shortly put VPD stands for vapor pressure deficit. It is a measurement that takes into account temp, humidity, and ideally leaf temp as well.

i'd love to try growtronix. getting high and reading manuals, fucking around with shit like that is what i consider a good way to spend a day.

I cannot recall if i have read the answer to my ? in this forum....Any Help?

Im pretty fresh w electrical lingo, but I recently installed a new 18,500 btu window unit. Its runs of a 30amp 230v plug.

Is there anything like the PXM 1 or 2 out there that can plug a 30 amp 240 into that also has a trigger cable to go to the iponic?

I do not claim to know anything about electricity and I would get a 2nd opinion on any advice you get from me about it, but I don't see anyone else answering your question about the new 18500 btu window ac unit you have and a pre made 240v high amp relay with trigger to use on your Iponic controller. Here is a HPR-1 from CAP that does just that http://www.hhydro.com/files/Instructions/capHPR1.pdf
I didint spend much time looking for any other options for you but am sure you can find more out there just like it. It shows you how to wire it up so you could just by your own relay and build your own. The other thing I would do if I was you is to make sure that this NEW a/c unit you have realy uses 30amps of juice on 220 volts, that seems crazy to me I looked up a few and none of them used even 1/3rd of that, but maybe there is some high start up spikes or something. If you are like me and have found ways to use up all the available outlets on your Iponic and only have the 2 low voltage outputs left I could help you wire them to power other equipment since you wont be using them to control a central heat/cool system.

RC..... thanks for the response. Very informative.

Im not quite at the point to get the iponic yet but i am just trying to get all my ducks in a row before hand. i will do more homework on your suggestion and talk to my electrician about it.

It would be nice to have the iponic control the air and heat on the window unit wo me having to switch it from cool to heat.

Thx again RC:tiphat:

I guess I'll reply! It's funny how know one has answered your question but I bet a few will have comments on my answer to you. Seems to happen that way. I do not run LED but I do run multiple HPS/MH lights at different wattage 400watt, 600watt, 1000watt all off the same multi light controller. As far as the wattage of the bulbs/lights go they can be different as long as the voltages are all the same either 120/240 or what ever it happens to be.

Remote activated Breaker

Remote activated Breaker

rives, PrivateAero, or anyone else who knows,

Why mess with a contactor and controller box?

What about running a remote activated breaker right in your electrical panel? The heat is going through there anyways, I don't think we would be creating any more by having them switch in the panel rather than after it. Why make a whole other junction box setup?

Refering to a 240v unit like this;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/190780683123?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

or a 120v unit like this this;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300740527516?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

The price would be about the same as a contactor and box. Any reason these won't work with the iPonic 600?

Just one more avenue I wanted to explore.

Thanks in advance.

I don't see any specs stating how many watts in lighting this thing can handle. I had to find out the hard way that the Chhc4 can only handle 1200 watts max

Iponic customer service is outstanding.

Things that annoy me:

why does the sensor module blink light? Is this light acting like a light leak messing with my plants?

Why is the iphone app so atrociously bad? All it does is displays a "thinking" symbol once I log in. After I tap the screen about a billion times, I can get into the controls screen.

Yes, it's all I use. Do you have any specific questions?

Just saw this...Got caught up moving across the country and all. I am just getting my grow set up with the Iponic 600. No specific questions yet, but I am sure I will have a bunch once I start plugging everything into it.

Wait I do have one; do you just run everything through separate contactor switch boxes then to the Iponic 600? No-one ever answered my question about remote breakers.

Thanks in advance. I will be sure to list all of the issues associated with being a novice and attempting a first grow with an iponic 600. I could have started small, but I get a bit geeked out with the neat gear available.
