Interstate checkpoints....

This summer im takin a trip down to florida. I was wonering if anyone knows if I-95 southbound is heavily patrolled (drug dogs). I also wanted to know what are the main cities that are most heavily guarded starting from PA. I have never driven cross country before with more than an ounce so I do get a bit paranoid.

But nothin a little :joint: cant fix before heading off. lol.

Thnks for any feedback on the matter

Mail it. Vacume sealer = $40, Jail + Lawyer + lost weed = ???

I know it works, I've gotten bud from cali, canada, amsterdam, hash from morocoo, etc.. sent to FL never had anything seized, have had my senders skimp me though.

Yeah sending it also has disadvantages, but is safer certainly than riding with it on your person. 95 is patrolled I wouldn't say too heavily but they are there especially when you get to Palm Beach County and more south. Just go the speed limit and, if its a lot, then I would recommend not burning in the car but thats up to you. If they smell it, thats when things will turn bad, especially in this state. Definitely vac seal regardless of if you mail it or drive it.
I will tell you watch out in Georgia especially with the state line. They are known to heavily patrol it, at least, from the Florida border and their troopers are generally dickheads. Hope this helps and good luck!

95 is usually clear. dont go balling in a u-haul through virginia or anything though...

If your white, your alright. But really I've driven from pa to Florida and it wasn't bad. I'd worry about that main highway in Florida, just check your taillights/headlights periodically and go the speed limit. You should be fine.

Drive with a brain and you should be fine. I have drove all up and down the east coast many time with personal smoke amounts and been fine. Knock on wood. I do smoke and drive but I also only drive about 5 over. I also wont smoke on toll roads, don't want endo seeping out when paying a toll.

As far as personal advice, state cops in Florida like to chill at toll stations and profile, so be careful around them, and don't speed in Georgia, I have been ticked a few times around Macon for minor bull shit.

From a Fl. resident....
Florida is a police controlled state. Florida is in the constitution free zone that
Homelan Security set up. Google it. there is a 100 mile inland area around the
USA that is totally constitution free...ie: absolutely no rights.
they can and will pull you and search you for no reason, they can and will set up
road blocks as checkpoints with k9's. They can and will lie for an excuse to search
and sieze..and if they don't find anything, they will drop 'something'.
They can and will enter your home or apartment or room at will day or night, even
while you are there, total arrogance.
Be warned and be very careful in FL.

It is NOt legal to have dogs at roadblocks to check vehicles and if you see one film it and raise hell. the supreme Court ruled that having a drug dog at a checkpoint is fact a violation of law. If you are stopped for a VIOLATION of the law, then they can walk a dog around your car if the stop does not take too long. the cops must have reasonable grounds to believe a crime is being committed ( articulable grounds) BEFORE they legally can even detain you beyond the traffic stop reason.

Triple vacuum sealed bags locked in a briefcase in the trunk is the best way to transport anything odiferous. If stopped for a traffic matter, never ever ever give consent to search and never get into answering ANY questions that the thug pig asks. YOU must control the stop, not them. The way to do this is to let the cop know that : A. You are NOT going to answer any questions. If the thug says: " Where are you going today?", simply say: " Officer, my attorney advised me to never answer any questions without him present". The shut up and do not respond to any other questions at all.

As soon as you let the filth know that you are not going to be gamed, he will either violate your rights or go away, and most of the time a person that knows his rights and CANNOT be intimidated whatsoever will be left alone...the cops have too many easy targets out there that give consent and don't know jack about how to act..they provide all the arrests they need.

Stay calm...be firm..and never give them the upper hand. And remember that it is not legal to walk dogs around cars at a checkpoint: Here is the case that stopped that:

http://www.aclu-em.org/pressroom/2000pressreleases/drugcheckpoints.htm

Very good reading and it shows why we are wise to never allow the filth to get away with illegal operations as they always want to do. The cops will violate the law all the time in order to get a petty bust and be a big hero to his fellow scum, but there are ways to protect yourself from them. NO DOGS AT roadblocks!!!Illegal!!

Any and all precautions truly seem the height of wisdom when dealing with these
jackbooted thugs calling themselves 'law'.
Untill the Patriot act 1, Patriot act 2, and Patriot act 3 are repealed there will exist
in this country undue suspicion and unwarranted intrusions into our privacies of
life with an attempt made at every level to disrupt our liberties in the name of
their 'Justice and Law'.
The ACLU page referenced above, while a great reminder of just how illegal the
law(s) have become, is superceded in the minds of some law enforcement persons,
and they (the law) will take great liberties in the false belief that they are 'doing good'.
The constitution free zone set up by Homeland Security means that any person,
vehicle, or private or public dwelling is open to scrutiny or search and siezure at anytime
deemed necessary by any police officer. That is to say, whether on a sneak and peek
warrantless look around, or on a hunch, or on a traffic stop, or at a roadblock.
The use of K9 officers (as designated by Florida) is perfectly legal in any situation.
The Aclu is having a very hard time here in Fl. due to the Constitution free zone
ruling. Note that this Constitution free zone is completely surrounding the USA
borders. Even in California, they recently held roadblocks and checkpoints during
the 4th of July no less. Just business as usual, with the exception that there have NEVER
been checkpoints in CA. prior to this except in reare instances.
I am an old fart, and have fought for my country, my rights, your rights, and our
freedoms and am disgusted at watching them all fade away to be replaced by
a seemingly intrusive form of socialist facism.
Sorry about the rant and rave...I just dont like cop behaviour.
peace and good traveling and GOOD LUCK

And can you please link us to the " Constitution free Zone" that you are referring to? I Googled it and found that it merely refers to an article written by an individual...it is not some court decision. All it mentions it eh BORDER PATROL and it's legal boundaries..NOT any defined area where the Constitution is not in force. It is totally disengenuous to say that this guys article equals some legal decision. it is not.

OF COURSE the Border Patrol can act inland, but the TRUTH and REALITY is that they RARELY ever go too far inland and are almost totally concentrated at the borders. All this article is doing is maiking it seem like all of a sudden we are going to see border Patrol agents in all our downtowns and subject to deprivation of rights...nonsense.

This is a case where some bored writer found out( supposedly..not verified..) Border Patrol ability to go 100 miles inland, and of course , in some hysterical fantasy, that means that we are living in a " Constitution Free zone" because the Border Patrol CAN go inland...thats the whole deal right there.

There is NO SUCH THING as a Constitution free Zone...it does not exist. It is a term used by the author of the article and is not a real term ..proof: http://www.infowars.com/23-of-us-population-lives-in-constitution-free-zone/...read it and see that this is nothing but alarmist nonsense. I am the first to accuse the powers that be of intrusive and extreme behavior, but this is not real. The Constitution exists at the Border and all rights are retained at all times by citizens.

Of course AT the border you SUBMIT YOURSELF voluntarily for inspection as a conditiojn of entry; Totally different than driving down a highway, no matter HOW far inland. If you are stopped by the Border Patrol or any other cop on a public highway at a checkpoint you do NOT have to consent to a search . The Border Patrol would have to have reasonable grounds to believe that you were in violation of sopme applicable statute before any search could be undertaken.

The purpose of the inland limits is so the Border Patrol is not LiMITEd to the immediate border line area and can pursue suspects and investigate and act on their agencies responsibilties within a reasonable limit of the borders. Sound reasonable? that is because it is, and it is fact.

The person above who reacted rather than reading the facts should revisit the real law and the fact that some writer stating his opinion as to some unlikley possibility does not mean that any ZONE exists...it does not.

I drive 95 south threw NC weekly because i live 20 min. from I-95 and i have been to Fla. as well as to P.A. driving I-95. I carried many times and i have never seen a road block but thats not saying its not possible. The main thing i see is speeders or lane changers getting pulled and sometimes searched alongside the road. Watch your speed and i really think you should be fine. NC troopers are a MO FO as well as West Virginia and Virginia. Drive the speed limit would be the best advise if you carry as well as seal it so humans cant smell it just in case. Dogs should never be an issue without probable cause IMHO. I been lucky and never been pulled but i do run real close to the speed limit cuz i know those dodge chargers are hideing every damn place lookin a speeder to hassle.

Be very careful around I95 toll tunnel outside of Baltimore - lots of undercover cops. Also if you can, avoid I95 altogether from Baltimore to south of Washington during heavy traffic rush hour, 7:30 - 9:30 am and 3:30 - 7:00 pm.

One thing you might want to consider is Rt. 301 - it parallels I95 most of the way down and ends up in Ocala, Fla. It's still a lazy scenic rural route for most of the trip.

Once you get to Florida you have to watch out for all of the nasty little speed traps the small towns are known for.:yeahthats

Have fun!

I always figured rush hour is the safest because in stop and go traffic its hard to commit a traffic offense that would give them reason to pull you over, plus I would figure that is the lowest ratio of cops : traffic during the day, but im sure it all depends. Id rather drive in rush hour traffic then at 4 - 6am or late at night

Also a big mistake people make is driving too slow, whatever you do keep up with traffic, even if you have to speed to do so, if youre the only one going slow you might look like you have something to hide
