cool thread!

I wouldn't be able to get high over there...I'd be asking everyone for French fries and they'd try to sell me chips. Chips and French fries are two different things...unless you live n the UK. What are French Fries in the UK then? Waffles? There's waffle fries too. Well, waffle CHIPS.

Keep on growing guys!

French fries are Julienne and chips are Batonnet. Both sizes require a potato with a high starch content.

The russet Burbank is probably the most commercially used potato in the fast food industry

very over priced and poorly thought out is the feed back ive seen/read about these systems! pretty colours but materials used are low grade, pumps fail often and plenty of nooks and crannies for bacteria to harbour! these are wots been said at the hydro store i use so think carefully is all im saying! you could make a better system yourself for a 5th of the price! bottom line alien are CRAP lol

really? that's the first bad word i heard against em.
never heard any of them claims tho i was told shops up north dont do many cos the iws guy lives up there and they're buddies with him.
down sarf everyone i know loves em, getting big yields outta them, they do 55litre pots now for trees
as far as I know the materials are good, got much faster flood and drain times than iws, ph holds stable
chuck a chiller on one keep it at 18c and they're the shit

they are bit pricey tho

maybe im talking about the first ones then and your talkin bout the new ones! no my mates shop/wharehouse is massive and has a few tents and systems with plants in(not cannabis) lol on display and ive been told ppl are doing nothing but bring bits back to the shop that are fucking up! maybe the newer ones are better! im not sure how there faster tho baring in mind its the same thickness pipping used on the iws and gravity does the rest! filling anyway either way im happy with wot i got so is all that matters, to me anyway lol if they were cheaper and i was looking for a system then maybe if the new ones are a modded version ide be willing to try it! i am going back 18 months are so..

The alien system looks like the usual DWC 'Krusty Buckets' or a design from Heath Robinson. I'm not sure if that is to be used with media as it would block up most likely.

Those systems are notorious for problems with the drain and slime build-up.

i have the aqua but i think im gunna buy a couple of the big ones to trial them and see if theres any difference! when i first bought my iws 2 of my friends/employees where arguing that one gives a better yield than the other so im gunna see!why not ive used the aqua many times and the extra space between the inner and out pots fills with roots hanging in the air!........

yeh hand feed for the first week or so in pebbles till the roots hit the bottom of pot!or you can stick something under the brain pot so it floods to a higher level till roots hit the bottom then back on the floor as normal! tiny cuts once and day if your room isnt hot and then as they grow you increase to 2 then 3 and then by the time your in bloom id your plants are big i was flooding every 2 hours! thing is everyones room is diff so you kinda have to learne to use the iws and dial it in! just comes with practice! ide say by your 3rd grow you pretty much know how the plants work in the system then its plain sailing! of course until you change plants and then back to square 1 of dialing in for that plant! hope that helps bro......:tiphat:
