Lol

The freebies are crap as they are unstable genetics & have numerous phenotypes so the chances of having a keeper from a single bean are very slim.

What's the deal with these cookies varieties? I think I've taken my eye off the ball as I have no idea wtf is so special about them???

Edit - done some research got as far as learning its a Hermie. Goodbye cookies!

Most of the cookie cuts out there are bagseed hermies

Cookies and cream is cookies x starfighter f2 starfighter is a great strain I will be looking for the starfighter dom phenos

I use R/O water calmag is essential with RO water or you won't get very far at all. I use it up to week 5 flower

Even when using tap water I still used some calmag it helps the plants a lot

I beg to differ. A&B and RO has done countless perfect crops here.. Very ocasionally we use 1/2 tap half RO, depending on the feed and the age and how much RO is available..

As long as you feed regular.. You must know plants need nutriment or they suffer..

I'd like to mention here 'HGO' and his unrivalled technique as far as I am concerned and that is, the plants need 3-5x a day. Or plants need their 5 a day :)

NFT or methods with secondary/recycled nutes are much inferior to drip to waste and hand feeding.....

Hand feeding will out push any NFT/Hydro if your on the ball..

I can't comment on soil or coco grows i've only ever used aeroponics and I'm about to jump ship to RDWC undercurrent system from current culture. Handwatering or DTW could never reach efficiency levels of a dialed in RDWC system for yield and quality, Vegging times are MUCH quicker too.

Not correct Osmosis is Osmosis, It's all environmental, You will not get 18 ounce plants in DTW, not with Aero either due to the plants needing to support themselves, they need double blocking or 5" of media, maybe with a 'heath' style system is the only exception but it still follows simple principles, it uses a media.

I have a friend with a hybrid ststem, it's 20 years old, uses a blend of Aero and DWC. It grows huge yielding plants but the system is tiny tiny and can't keep up with the bigger 1 lamp per plant.

Very rarely do I see them that big on tanks with the buds of coco..

You cannot feed them as regular with systems..

Nice try.. I have faster growth in soil than I do on any method...

Thing with dirt is the microbes help to translocate nutriment faster than roots alone can so Hydro is shite!

You only need nutrients so it's a cheats or money mans game. Safer/faster for the turnaround as long as the system has no Phytophthora.

Hydro is inferior.. Not only does it limit crop potential but it's fake weed..

All I know is when I don't use calmag things don't look as good. Some nutrients companies started removing calcium/magnesium from their formulations. I noticed it a few years ago

I also have a aero hybrid system. 18oz plants are easily achievable in that. But I'm moving to RDWC with the aim of 25oz plants ;) you'll be vegging your soil plants all year to achieve that

25 ounce cheese plants take 4 months in 90 litre pots Biobizz costing £20. All your looking for is 1.2m2 plants and it's faster to do with 4 ;). We got 20 of OGKA in 90 days hand fed 20 litres of coco..

This is all top lit no side or bare bulb action all coming in under 6'

I pulled 19 ounce from a water grow last time I run Cheese and I trimmed it naked. I weighed the trim it was 8 ounces. 2 carrier bags of it..

You trim ogka less, it's all nuggets on stems with so many buds on them it's silly..

The basement is about 6' 5..

We noticed putting plants on the 'fringes' was almost trebling the rooms yield.

The 1st 18 ounce Docter plant showed us this in the corner so we made changes putting 4 plants in the crawl space.

The Doctor also did well outside...

The way to do that is grow 'root stocks'. So7oman grows seeds and he vegges for 12+ weeks then flips, that's his way. Too much above ground to get that tight node growth all the way to the skirt for short rooms but it will grow some serious big plants in tall tents. He says it's 'Nothing' on Max's Method what use's veg for 12-16 in 3/5ltr pots depending on genetics using all kinds of bennies.. Then plant into 20's and give them more bennies and watts up the ass like a mofo. These blow up more faster than any other method I have ever seen and the plants like Heath grows are possible if this method isn't top lit. So7oman even said this way when he was trimming gets nearly double his way.. Max lumens is 75wpsf... That particular room is much higher rated than that lighting arrangement.

It's all about the pruning technique..

This whole method developed via filling the areas the plants were to tall to grow in and mastering it. The larger plants are the taller ones on the 'fringes' getting 3 or 4 lamps overlap.
