Info on The Real Seed Company?

Those last pages remind me of why I don't go much to cannabis forums lately.
So fed up with this neverending Cannadrama and negativity.

Ngakpa, I just wanted to say I appreciate you being here.
I’ve gotten a lot out of your input in several threads.

I agree, stick around Ngakpa. Fuck the haters. I'll be seeking your input once I really get into the RSC genetics I have stored :)

@Mustafunk -

Other thing to note: I've never received any material from IPK. However, they've sent out loads of seeds, which have in turn been reproduced and shared around the community.
The information on the site is there simply to make clear that the original collection of the strain wasn't done by anyone who collects for Real Seed Co.

quite frankly, I'm not a fan of those who put restrictions on seeds, unless they truly have invented (in this case, bred) something novel that would otherwise not exist. Restrictions on landrace or wild type seeds are self serving, whereas commerce benefits both consumers and vendors. It also inspires innovation.

Nevertheless, mustafunk, while he may have ulterior motives, is technically correct: getting seeds second hand from the IPK doesn't exonerate entities or individuals from the original legal agreement. Those who you received seeds from are mandated by the original IPK contract to have you sign the same original agreement before receiving their genetic material. This means reproducing strains originating from the IPK can't legally be sold.

I think the name of the strain is misleading. It should be called Der Kongolese or Saxon Kongo, picked and collected from Kongo Strasse

On the other hand, does anyone have a proof that IPK has signed an agreement with the Republic of Congo for the sale of their biological heritage or is this another act of biopiracy commited by a genebank?

Is this working for Congo too or this is only put in any trade agreement to protect european denomination of origin and protecting the pirating of third world countries heritage?

Another appropriate and suitable name for this strain would be Kongo Jack Sparrow

I beg to differ as I was around in the 60s and 70s and had the joy of puffing opiated hash from a friend's sojourn in Vietnam. The walls were rocking with beautiful mandala patterns.

opiated hash

opiated hash

I wasn't around when temple balls were coming around in the 70s but I also had heard that opiated temple balls with the white streaks were actually moldy hashish.
I was around in the 1960s and 70s and we enjoyed some beautiful experiences with opiated hash a friend brought back from Vietnam. I remember sitting in an Albanian guy's father's barber chairs unable to move our bodies while the walls streamed mandala patterns.

glad you enjoyed it

it was 7:30 am for me, and I hadn't slept much, so I was running on coffee only

the interview raised a lot of interesting subjects - if I'm back on there again I will be sure to go a bit deeper into them...

@iTHC - if you've got a specific point you want to discuss, go for it

Hey ngakpa, I enjoyed listening to you on The Adam Dunn Show. I personally think that Adam conducted a very poor interview. I'm not saying this to knock him. I'm sure he's a swell guy, but a skilled interviewer could have shaped the conversation in a way which could have covered many subjects with great depth. Instead, it seemed like he was busy texting and not even listening and so, when it was time to branch off to the next topic. He was just silent because he wasn't even listening. Anywayz, keep up the great work!
