Well its a ballanced feed if there was enough nitrogen for the veg and its the same amount now then it is a little high for the situation .
Im not telling you to change it ,but i think i would add a pinch or 2 of potasium sulphate,or even mpk mono potasium phosphate and watch them .
I think they have 3 weeks left anyway from looking.A

Thats a good point and is something Ill need to consider. The extra nitrogen may be why sometimes I get the elongated stems that try and produce flower. Its even more noticable with a plant that has strong vigor or if the plant suffers heat stress.

I have always noticed a slight nitrogen def when I get a plant that stretches in flower. The hazes went nearly from seed to a big pot of coca medium. I am currently (for the last 3 days) feeding these plants tap water expecting to harvest in a week or so. The tap water is high around 7.0 ph but the ph in the medium is fair bit lower so it sort of balances out.

I hope there is not more than a week of flowering in the Skunk x Haze, I am pretty sure there isnt, Ill have to get some accurate pics to take a look at.

dry grow/wet grow

dry grow/wet grow

Somthing else ive noticed over the years if i grow wet ie dont let the pot dry right out between waterings the plant is prone to finishing from the bottom up.
If i grow dry letting the pot get bone dry between waterings it finishes from the top down.
I have 40 plants from seed with approx 14 days to go these have been grown dry they all have fan leaves turning lemon yellow up to halfway up the stem and falling off ,the plants are scavenging the nitrogen from them. They will fox tail a bit the last 5 days .A

i just grew some haze/widow aka alaskan ice ....and in hydro the shit always looks like its got another 2 weeks to go , and some of the plant looked finished, in soil it did fine , but hydro it was not that great ........never wanted to fully mature even at aroun 12-13 weeks

Heres a picture of the lower branches of the skunk x haze, I am tempted to take the branches but i dont want it to delay the plant being ready overall .

IMO from this pic ,id say definetly wait maybe another 3 weeks or soo

patience is a virtue ,with any strain a few days can make all the difference in taste/effects,you hav waited this long and the plants look amazing ,ive grown sk/hz from mns outdoors in ny and took her in nov 4 ,i let the plant tell me wen she is done

how many days hav you flowered her ?

how long have you been giving plain waterings?

if you want the plants to finish i suggest you stop the feedings ,maybe som molasses until the last few waterings then flush them

once again much respect on an amazing grow i hope you decide to wait a while before the chop

Pistils really don't tell when the plant is done, the ripening of capitate-stalked trichomes is the only sure-fire way to tell when they're done.

Trichomes clear? Leave it alone.
Trichomes cloudy? You have a week or 2 to go.
Trichomes amber? THC is starting to degrade, chop now!

Most folks shoot for at least a 50% cloudy/50% amber mix, but if it's still making new clear trichomes it's still growing.

Maybe shortening the light cycle or trying the banana trick will speed ripening. I have also used Humboldt's Gravity to this effect with good results (foliar spray.) The banana trick involves putting a rip banana under each plant, releasing ethylene gas that causes ripening.

If you're using CO2, you should cut it back in late flower so it doesn't inhibit the plants own ethylene production and delay harvest.

thats real interesting..is this for sativas only? so to get the bottom popcorn nugs more developed..keep the pots wet at all times? imma try this out on my current FFOF setup.

Hazes are notorious for taking a long time. If you're experimenting with new strains, then a microscope is a must for the garden. Check those trichs...and always be patient.

Ur right Bigherb, when I took another look at that picture and reading the post's it definitely looks like another few weeks. The white pistils are from new growth over older flower which is something I dont see to often and need to get over.

I picked up about 4 or 5 good points, to many to respond to each one. I admit I was thinking about going to pick the skunk x haze tonight but after reading the post's Im going to wait and see. It must be the extra few weeks giving me cold feet.

Ill also get a microscope so I can see the trichs and in future ill know what I am looking for.

Heres some more pics of the Skunk x Haze I had to lay it down on a table.

You can see the yellowing on the fan leaves, this plant has been on plain water for 3 days and the leaves are yellowing already. May be to early to go to plain water. What do you think ?

beautiful plant mate... but stop feeding N altogether and move to 10/14 lights to quicken the finish.

im glad you took adivse from the community ,im happy to help in any way ,i believe you made the right decision in waiting ,she will tell you wen she is done and it will all be worth it

snip a little bud off now for comparison to a few weeks from now ,youll get an idea of how big a difference it can make

id probably give a guano feed or watever flowering nute you use another week or soo,as for the plain waterings personally i like to give them plain water atleast 2 weeks before the chop ,imo i believe it also depends on your type of feeding ,if you have grown organic it wil be easier to flush the nutes ,with those monsters its not like yield should be a concern, remember the longer you feed the longer she will take to finish

That thing scares me........I would'nt wanner meet her in a dark alley..............hehe

She might just give you a big hug :)

looks like you're already on the ball with the no N ..

Thanks jamieshoes and bigherb ill go to the hydro store and get some food that has less nitrogen and that can keep it going for about a week atleast.

Maj.Cottonmouth, cheers for the info!
