Yea but Julian if you could know before hand wouldn't you avoid it?? I would.. Of corse you never really know your neighbors.. Just ask those people who lived next door to those mexican cartel torture houses out in suburbia.. But if they had a choice??? If everything is put together well it shouldn't matter if your across the street from the White House.. HAHA but I just don't think I could knowingly operate a grow near a LEO.. Don't ask don't tell kinda policy haha.. But you are right if you are operating the way you should be it def should not matter..

alright when you are where you are and you cant afford weed anymore, so you start a small personal indoor op, then i label you as greedy, because you cant move to a house far away from a leo and you cant afford weed either...

sorry man im not talking about a small personal grow so you can enjoy fine nugs. Read my very first post of this thread and you will understand :joint:

Directly to one side is a metro employee... 2 houses down is a metro cop... within 1 mile is the area office... 3 years, no prob, but on the ball in every way (especially odor control/scrubbing). No trash, no parties, normal looking & behaving, got my a/c working normal, clean yard, nice & friendly, good neighbor = no issues. Best brah.

Well, to me was actually an interesting study of psychology.....how peoples minds work......lesson.....

When I found out about the guy across from veg center....was kind of that mouth open looking around blank moment...:smoke:...

Why?......I wasn't doing anything wrong (per se).....was a proper residence in every respect, was friendly with him.....never had a reason to be concerned before, so then why at that moment would anything be different?.....nothing had changed...nothing was different......everything done right......and, was just a veg center...) low power, no small really....everything went out boxed up....so.........

I wouldn't do it voluntarily......but again....psychology.....why not?.....but, couldn't bring myself to do knowingly.....(well, depending on what I wanted to do......obviously serious op out of the question....but, if something small and no other issues and everything looks right?......no reason not too......only a mental block......I'd rather be living next to someone who works hard, busy with family, and doesn't look at you than a 90yr old who has nothing to do but sit by the window and call in anything they see....or people who step on their lawn.....or a delivery driver cause they';re black and "look wrong" :biglaugh:.....

For some reason I've always lived near cops. Next door neighbor used to be the mayor. Now I've got a cop directly behind me, one a few houses down, and one across the street who's bedroom window has a direct view of the back corner of my yard...where I have, and have had for the past several years, a 4ftx4ft MJ bush.

Never had a problem. One thing I've noticed from living around cops is when they are off-duty and home with their families they seem very family/kid oriented. Almost to the point where they isolate themselves from the rest of the neighbors. Which is fine by me. They mind their business and don't complain about my cheeb, I mind mine and don't complain about their kids being a public nuisance and their front yard looking like a toys-r-us boneyard...and everybody is happy. :smoke:

:yeahthats

EDIT: Also, I don't bother with odor control. I have a carbon scrubber around here somewhere that I never hooked up because it impeded my airflow too much.

To be honest, I feel safer having cops in my neighborhood/block... how ironic is that?!?

My logic is that fewer random bad things are likely to happen in an area with cops, though I didn't set out looking for it. Right? If someone is staking out your block to rob & then sees the squad car, he's going to go down the street. Kids don't punk the neighborhood as well. Hell, the other neighbors seem on their better behavior too. Outside of the fact this all results from intimidation & fear, it has it's benefits. Best.

And if they're not family guys, then they're never home anyway :smoke:...out drinking and whoring, etc....

Lot of areas in lot of cities have the "desirable" areas.....will find extremely large LE populations......the State and DEA examples above had at least one per block.....sometimes up to 5 per block...then the firemen, etc.......

You choose a nice area, they're there....is what it is....

Well.........:biglaugh:...your not going to know in advance 98% of the time......and could have worse around.....(90yr old, nosy people, kids who cut through yard and such, etc, etc, etc...)

I mean....major metro......between local, county, state, feds.....major metro can have 10-20,000 LE, so......not really a surprise when you find out someone is one......(DEA, FBI, USSS....and on and on....lot of them you will never know because they don't disclose anyway.....only way my buddy knew was DEA was saw his partner picking him up one day by garage and they were on way to a raid, full gear, etc.......otherwise would have never known, but, had been there years already anyway, so.....same block, kids went to school together, etc........is what it is....just life...:smoke:

Fuck, I mean...if you think about it....your 10 times more likely to have a nosy neighbor call something in than those guys begin an investigation on it....see the former happening far past the latter........you'd have to be doing (or not) a lot of things to get anyones attention anyway...(except that 90 yr old calling in a black fed ex driver on someones porch too long :biglaugh:)

Hey guys, totally slipped my mind to mention living in the proximity of LEO with a small closet grow not commercial full house grow..

lol, the cop shop is a nice 2 min stroll down the block from me and theres a security guard out most nights about 50 feet from my front door. some of you guys get way to paranoid. my living situation is way above my social status but i blend in and pretend my parents are rich and pay for everything while theres 4kw running upstairs. and really, what is an off-duty cop going to do that a normal law-abiding citizen wouldn't???? dont differentiate...

I've heard of more than one, growing next to the cop shop in a house. People used to put seeds in front of the court house, but never auto-flowers to get buds with the city lights.

Carbon gives a fresh baked bread smell, but not as strong. Ozone has it's own smell, so a little fragrance or some potpourri in a sock or stocking at the end of carbon exhaust to cover that yeast smell.

Better to stink like a French whore house, than a pot farmer.

i think this is stupid. what are you proving? that a bunch of stoner hippies are snubbing their nose at the cops and the law? cops have the same social adhesion as career military guys; its a "us against them" attitude, with the citizenry being "them". i believe that to succeed you must fit in with normal and law-abiding citizenry who support the law, the justice system, and the cops. from a commercial grower's perspective planting a bunch of seeds in front of the courthouse or cop shop is just going to incite the cops to be even bigger assholes next time they bust an op.

of course im talking about growing here, not starting some sort of legalization movement

A good measure of paranoia is healthy. I would not make the mistake of believing the average joe can spot a potential op as well as certain trained LEOs...I'm sure some would love to give their careers a little boost by busting a 4kw op...:nanana:

But g/l, must be a nice supplementary chunk of change coming in w/ that...
