Indoor Bagseed Grow

This is my first full indoor grow so bear with me because most of my experience cultivating has been outdoors. I'm new to the IC forums but have been a long time member of OG. I've currently been vegging for about a month now.

Set-up:

Medium - 5/6 Pro-Mix (peat moss, vermiculite, perlite), 1/6 Perlite
Lighting - 4 CFL's (23W ea.)
Ventilation - CPU fan (exhaust)
- CPU fan (intake)
- CPU fan (move air inside cab)
Power - Motherboard powers power supply that powers two of the CPU fans.
- Mounted power strip powers lights and remaining fan.

How exactly are supposed to add images to your posts? Every time I try to add an uploaded image, a URL appears in the post. Then when I go to submit the post it says that I cannot have any URLs in my post. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

You could get rid of that motherboard you know. You can just jump the ATX connector with a paper clip, google it. You could then just run the fans off of regular 12v molex power plugs straight to the psu.

crazy motherboard in there.

Grab an AC adapter, and splice a 120mm fan to the ac adapter. Works better. Great job tho!

Welcome everybody, this is the beginning of a long journey.

Ole - Due to my lack of both computer and electrical knowledge, I figured it would just be easier to have my computer savvy roommate to help me out with powering the fans. I will look into jumping the ATX connector so I can possibly remove the motherboard.

kp^ - My most powerful fan (115VAC) is being run off an AC adapter. I could only get my hands on one so that will have to do for now. It wouldn't even work for the other two fans because they are DC (theres probably a way to bypass that as well).

frankenstein - I'm planning on flowering them within the next week or so due to limited space.

Thanks for the responses everybody, and keep em coming!

Here is a good tutorial for you:

It's REALLY easy :)

computer power supplies load up the 5V line to keep the switching action stable.. if they aren't being used for a computer you really are wasting a lot of power having it on... you may not care, but I thought I'd point it out... really inefficient. You'd be much better off just buying a simple $10 12V transformer from radioshack that'll be about 2"x2" and work mint.

Sorry that I'm hazy on the subject but i was wondering how one goes about using computer fans. The only fans I've seen have like two little pins on the end so even after you turn 120v AC to 12v DC how do you plug them up to the power source?

I was planning on using the CFL's for flowering. I'll probably buy 2 more and just make another light fixture. Once the males are out of the cab, there will be more room and light for those pretty girls.

rkrone - I was basing the species of the plant merely by height. I labeled it as my sativa dom. because it is one of my tallest plants. The leaves are not thin but are a lot thinner when compared to some of my other plants. I was just rating the plants on a spectrum considering that I am totally unaware of their underlying genetics.
