Are those lights going to be enough? Id add a couple extra on the inside if ya can. Either that or get a 100w HPS light, pretty cheap and easy to setup. Your yield will be much more.
Also, are you planning on leaving them in those cups during flowering? My last grow I used cups about the same size and after 3-4 weeks they were completely filled with roots. Id stick em in a 3 gallon bucket.
I like the old hp motherboard setup. But technically you are wasting alot of energy that doesnt need to be used. Not to mention heat issues, as in dont let it sit directly on the floor.
Good luck with your grow buddy, hope its plentiful.
I plan on sticking with the CFL's through the duration of flowering due to a small budget. I know my yield will suffer but I don't have many other choices right now. Only some of the plants are in 3 gal. containers (red pots) because of the lack of space I have to work with. I put the rest in the clear cups because I wanted to increase the number of potential females. They will get root-bound soon but I might be able to take some clones off of them, once I determine their sex, before they actually die in order to start the second generation.
Its been a while since the last update but here ya go. I ended up with 4 females out of 13 plants. 6 males and 5 hermies.... Bad ratio but the girls are looking good and are soon to be cloned. Here they are on day 23 of flowering, another update is coming soon.
The yield was around 1/2 oz after drying and curing, not bad for a make-shift/low budget grow. And boy are they tasty... Good luck with all your grows and I will be posting again soon for round #2...
