ying and yang represent the inseparability of all things...
one can not exist without the other...
with love comes hate-so love and hate- are bound together...

Buds are bound to roots...

Sativas bound to indicas.. With out one the other is simply the one..
A world with only one...

I'LL PASS....

Peace...

As stated above in different words, there is only the subjective answer.

Perhaps 90% of all posts lose sight of that.

Great topic! So very true...

Indica lovers are not potheads, cannabis lovers etc. Indica is a totally different drug. It is not marijuana...I don't care if Indica has THC & can be crossbred with marijuana (sativa).

Thank God I can grow my own now & not have to buy that garbage anymore. If I were God, I'd remove all Indica from planet Earth with the snap of my fingers.

Interesting view. I'm all for preserving landrace/heirloom strains, be they pure Sativa or Indica. It's the extreme number of hybrids that's the problem IMO.

That said, people like different things. All weed makes me drowsy in an undesirable way (I have chronic fatigue/depression & am tired already). I always assumed I preferred Sativas based on their "up" effects, but the opposite has been true--Indica dominant strains have proven a better fit for me.

Sativas make me tired by driving my anxious mind in circles, making me paranoid & causing my heart to pound. That's probably due to the THC content rather than the strain though. Still, strains like Green Crack have sent me into all-night panics after a single hit. No I'm not exaggerating.

There seem to be quite a few Sativa snobs on this board...no offense. I'm new here but I see a lot of it, as if personal preference doesn't come into play at all. As stated, I'm ALL about maintaining purity of strain lines & keeping things as natural and organic as possible. But people here talk about Indicas like they're heroin or something. I find it kinda hilarious. It seems there are bigger things to worry about--such as the levels of pathogens in pot or the pesticides used--than whether Sativas or Indicas are more popular.

Also remember: drugs affect different people in different ways. Just as Adderall sedates many people with ADHD, Indicas can be more stimulating for certain people while Sativas are more drowsy. That's been the case for me, anyway. Anything with a lemon/citrus scent is generally a bad fit & makes me more sleepy...even when I don't know the name or classification of the pot I'm smoking.

((Please don't tar & feather me for this opinion)) :p

There are not many early flowering narrow leaf. Without early flowering wide leaf, there would be virtually no north american outdoor.

Some of the older opinions are very strong. I'm for one, thankful for indica's. I'm not so sure that peoples ideas on sativa's are oh so enlightening.

Took me a long time to figure out i was just chasing a dragon for years. You can smoke 100 joints of indica hybrids never will get the quality buxx from a sativa.

They are simply adaptations to climate and human influence.

I pretty much love all weed. Just don't have much use for a 3 month supply of paranoid racing thought 130+ day flowering a quarter fills a quart mason jar spindly bud.

The market could use more seed that produces early and happy sativa. There are some fine selections in euro seedbanks as well as canadian; but bring those beans to usa seed banks. Now breeders retail is going out of biz. It's hard to find beans for the good old classics. Hopefully legalization unleashes all our seed hopes and desires.

The earliest GREAT pure Sativa I've ever had was a 1-in-a-100 Mexican Sativa, with an 11 week flower cycle and loads of Skunky resin and big buds.

From a grow out of 100 seeds from Mexican press brick mersh.

Bud size can simply be related to, they like a lot of light. When they get it, you get normal denser buds.

Some flowers will never be dense. We still don't know how many genes go into producing tight flowers. And in some locations, dense flowers is a trait that can get moldy.

All drug Cannabis is Indica narrow leaf or wide leaf. Sativa is Hemp...

All plants grown by the hand of man, ie. “cultivated”, is Sativa!

SATIVA is a Latin term that means CULTIVATED!

It matters not whether hemp or drug type!

But the ignorance will continue!

How fucking difficult is it to open a legitimate dictionary?

"Sativa, Sativus, and Sativum are Latin botanical adjectives meaning cultivated, used to designate certain seed-grown domestic crops. Sativa (ending in -a) is the feminine form of the adjective, but masculine (-us) and neuter (-um) endings are also used to agree with the gender of the nouns they modify."

On a somewhat related note, I have noticed, often people who are so adamant and confident voicing in their facts are often the same ones who spread the most false information.
