I never said insufficient...just prefer good parent selection when making beans. The whole Chem line is bagseed and without a doubt one of the most popular these days...and the D is know to hermie regularly...lol. A friend is a breeder who sells beans and know what he goes through for parent selection. Seems like he kills a lot of stuff just to find 'worthy' parents...really puts them through the wringer.

If you're talking to me I'm not a fan of S1's. Don't want to use the word hate but definitely not for me...I actually prefer F2's over F1's.

Well...two distictly different parents will give you that...not beans from hermies.

FOUND SOME

one little bit of 2 banana shaped light green yellowish sticking out the middle of one of the top buds facing the light leak...pinched off with tweezers...shit so i guess this means they may be seeded by harvest!

Man...don't lose any sleep over this! For starters those nanners can be sterile, you may have caught them before they popped open and a few seeds won't be a killer. Hell...all I smoked when I was young was seeded bud. We used to get bags of weed and sometimes seemed like more beans than weed...LOL.

It's gonna be what it's gonna be at this point...and from that pic looks like some pretty resinous buds. Looks like you're doing a pretty good job.

Same thing happened to me, i have my 12/12 set so the lights go off at 11:30pm and i fell asleep at 10pm. Woke up at 4:30am.. this has happened twice to the same pair of females under 500w, and after harvest i had no seeds whatsoever... very strain dependant i suppose coz lots of other people are saying they have had the plant hermie on them. I think that it definately must damage the bud production a little.

dont worry about it bro,,,,it wont have anuff time to produce the seed,,,1 light leak with 20 days to go wont do shit,,,
if you start finding loads of nanners/seeds ,,youve done something over the hole flower period that has muked then up (stress light leaks ect ect etc) ,,,...

ive forgot to turn my light on/of a few times on my last grow,,and found no seeds/nanners,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,dont stress about a few nanners bro,,,aslong as you dont get full blow shemen youll be sweet..

Isolated incidences like this do Nothing ... it was Low Intensity and at a distance ... People ... if you have 1 accidental light leak and your plants throw nanners they were going to anyhow.

That really shouldnt cause the hermies, but it probably does depend on the amount of light. If it looks like its starting to herm, hit it with reverse and penetrator. (i know we all like to penetrate here but were talking about this bro's little girls, so unless you have a daughter, you dont have the right to laugh)

second, i'm not worried in the least. i guess because it was/is my first grow, i got a little up in arms...but when you go from buying midgrade seedy commercial, staring at the buds i have now is literally like having sex, without having sex. either way, seeds or not, i'm going to be fucking stoked.

Here are some pics of the ladies from my diary... (will be getting better lighting in the room and better camera hopefully before harvest too) (these were at like day 35 flowering its around day 40 now)

Those are really looking good for a first grow or not. I sense your anticipation, lol but patience is needed greatly at this point. In my opinion you have some time to go on those yet. Let them finish properly and then give them a good dry and cure. You are doing great just don't get in a hurry and ruin it in the end by cutting to early or using a sloppy dry technique just for a quick smoke.

And thanks Mo, i know...waiting is the hardest thing especially when i have no stash from any previous grow to tide me over... im thinking 1 - 3 more weeks of growing, hang/dry, then a min 1-2 week cure if not a month or more.

Ahhh you should be all good bro...I have had some unfortunate mishaps like my panada poly door caving in from the negative pressure form exhaust for a whole night and eveyrthing was fine. I think prolonged light messes them up you will be ok

I think what amazes me the most about the light/hermie issue, is that so many people are convinced that they're seeing cause and effect, when clearly there are so many, many variables to remove before one can do a meaningful scientific trial. Where's the healthy skepticism that makes good science?

First off - the plants will decide.

Nuttin here and nobody that can tell - but isn't it fun to think we can.

Some plats put up with anything, some plants are really fussy, only way I know is to test drive them and see. If you do have problems - maybe it was the light - maybe not. I'd continue as normal and let em run.

Hope for the best - and if your like me - I smoke the misteakes too.
