I finally found my old stash of seeds. These were collected in the 2000's back in South Florida. Could the magical strain be in here? Who knows! Almost every seed is from a different strain.
I remember the crip needing to be cut up with scissors. it was impossible to break up with your fingers. it had a deep skunk undertone with like marshmallows and gas on top.

After smoking the TK- Triangle Kush with several people who know the South Florida/Miami Crippy I can say they are one in the same. The exact same from what we remember, that heavy fresh celery taste is the best way to describe it. I had been looking for her for over 12 yrs, funny thing is most of the people who are holding her didnt know she was the Crippy they just knew TK was some dank from FLA.
2 pulls was all it took and it was like a flashback to 2002
At this current moment no, I'm currently talking to my whole old high school smoke squad to see what seeds the homies saved. Surprisingly they still have tons and can actually tell me what packs we got them from. After I harvest my tent, my main goal will be on popping beans and observing. I wish we would of been more about the product and not the cash back in the day, I'm a little pissed that I never took the time or opportunity's I had to get deeper into the FLA scene. I had no idea it was this deep I just knew as a young punk that our stuff was fire and different from the rest!the mango. holy shit. one of the first full zips i bought. made such an impression. the guy i got it from invited me into his condo and he had a huge bowl of nugs in the middle of his coffee table like a centerpiece. gave me one rip off his giant sandblasted ying yang tube and i had to sit in the car for 1/2 an hour before i could drive lol. i remember the texture mostly. it was thick and leathery almost. redefined the term "dank" for me at the time.
i also got amazing haze pretty regularly we always just called "miami haze." in the past couple years i've heard a bunch of people talking about "cuban black haze" as potentially being the same thing but i'd never heard that term when i lived in florida.
i think $m at top dawg has the cut and bodhi too iirc. i'd love to grow out a good representation of the black haze and if it is the miami haze i could cross off a grail strain from my list.
brad congrats on getting growing again! will you be growing any of these florida heirloom varieties?
To anyone searching for FL crip my first recommendation would be Rare Dankness' TK cut. I'm not sure if they've ever offered it by itself but even their TK crosses are superb.
TK and Crippy are one in the same? Nope, growth pattern and yield says otherwise, crippy is most likely an Afghani/thai or Afghani/Colombian. She might be the morther plant to all OGs tho.
