How cool is this..

I met this chick online, on another forum. We've been talking now for many moons. About 2 months. Almost everynight through IM.

We just click really well.

So we just came up with a crazy idea. We are going to do Voice IM tomorrow, and get buzzed on some alcohol together, and have a virtual "party" with me and her...online. I told her I would even send her a joint so we could have a virtual smoke out together. She's never smoked before...but wants to.

How lame and cool is that?

Braithor, you know... that is something I want to do... and I am starting to do that more and more. Online can be frustrating at times... because, well, especially if the person lives airplane flying distance... it can be more of a dream that you'll ever meet them.

But lately I've been traveling here and there, so I have found its nice to have a few friends/girls that I can talk to consistently online. We are both in the same situation...kinda in transition in our lives.

Once I find a place I'm going to be for awhile you bet I"ll be out there being Mr. Social... cuz I love people, ... especially in real life.

But the internet is also full of nice real people.

first i spoke with this girl online, then we started talking on the phone for a while (the transition was pretty weird, but we got used to it and "the click" was still there) and then we met and started hanging out, which was also weird at first, but became natural pretty quickly

yep ive met a few girls through the internet via IRC (Internet Relay Chat), but it was just a channel for my local city so everybody was able to meet up for parties etc. So yeah the Internet is a great way to meet people, but if you want to do more than just share text with each other then go and meet each other! lifes too short to be shy

I did the IRC city chat thing about 10 years ago. Met a gorgeous girl I dated for a while (we both lived in the same city), but I was young and dumb and broke her heart. She hated me for it. I once met a girl on AOL and we hung out like an hour later. Spent the entire night kickin' it with her and her roommate before going for breakfast with 'em...lol. I'm really surprised everyone is giving him a hard time, maybe I just view it differently but what's wrong with actually getting to know someone before you meet them? Sure, they could be lying to you, but you can really get to know someone online.

I've been going out with a girl for about 2 years now, we went to high school together but never said a word. After we went off to college, we ran into each other a couple times and started talking online. As I said before, we've been going out for 2 years, and we're going to be together for a very long time.

met lots of women online, never had a problem, everyone was who they said they were. I would always ask for lots of pictures. That way they are who they say they are, nobody is going to have 12 or so pictures of someone else on their pc and say they are them. well at least not without raising my suspicions first. I swear, sometimes you get to know people better online than you do in person. Some marriage counselors now ask couples to talk to each other online.
