Hello Ace lovers and a special hello to dubi!! It has been too long, but that is what I get for procreating (jejeje). The little ones aren't so little anymore which means more time to spend with my hobby in our legal state (WooHoo). I had a small grow this summer of Tom Hill Haze and OTH x Meao Thai. The THH finished. Maybe 13 weeks and chunky. Definitely nothing like the OTH, thats for sure. Tom Hill Haze...

The THH are hanging and will cure for a few months while the OTH x MT finish. Here are the stars of the show. This was taken early September before they had started throwing pistils (THH was already flowering by 1-2 weeks).

I am guessing these are going to be ready in about a month, but we will just need to wait and see how they develop. Temperatures have been low 20'sC during the day and dipping to low teens C at night. These were basically up potted into the raised bed and fed once a week with Fish Emulsions and Kelp. I dug in some high P bat guano a few weeks ago. Smells are coming on with the first resin output. Scent is like I remember these crosses Old Timer's haze smells a bit metallic and sharp from the MT.

I just bought some new Ace gear. Waiting for shipping confirmation. Two packs of Super Malawi Haze (fem) and a pack of Killer A5 Haze. Of course I selected the OTH for freebies. Thanks dubi and Ace!

Currently soaking a bunch of beans to do selection for a larger outdoor grow next year. Ace gear is Killer Malawi S1, Purple Haze x Malawi, Reg. OTH & OTH (3Fx6M) - dubi needs to remind me what those two parentals (3x6) are like. I'm trying to sprout some Seedsman O Haze as well as a few others (DJ, Rez, etc.)

Awesome! Good to see you back! Seems like we both like soil beds fish fertilizer and awesome weed:tiphat:
Wait till your kids start getting old enough you have to explain your obsession with those funny plants lol
I have an 11 year old who knows I grow for medicine and laughs at me in my “stoner moments”.. I ask if she’s going to try and raid my stash (it’s locked anyway) in a couple years or so and she says “No way Dad it’s bad for brains before like 20 years old or something... I like my brains.”

That’s my baby girl!.... now how to make her see boys the same way...

YukonKronic,

Good luck with all of your growing ladies! No questions yet from my kids, but I am sure they will come at some point. The plants are off limits to them, so all good in that respect. Got to love the raised beds. I started these plants late, hence their smaller size. Not a lot of room ATM, but hoping to improve on that for next year. In the meantime, hoping to sprout a dozen or so new seeds for selection this winter.

Haha ya I eventually had to tell mine because the Wife got angry and was being louder than she meant to about it..I was like well shit... I’m not letting some picture of a D bag get painted here I have to talk to her about it.
She never really cares or notices except I sometimes start seeds on a windowsill or she hears about me “going gardening” in January in the Yukon and is like “whaaaaa”?!

Looks good in here man I look forward to watching and hanging out:tiphat:

At her age, your preoccupations don't run linear to her own...so all should be good. Give it a few years and start introducing those 'dudes' into the equation and you may need to reconcile.

Thought I would add an addendum. I am still searching for even a whiff of male genetics in haze lines. I have sprouted multiple OTH, OTH x MT, OTH x Malawi, and now Tom HH. Probably 15 or so seeds over the past 6-7 years and they have all been ladies. Just my fortune?

Glad to be back Lean Green. Missed you all. My kids are young still, so no need for explaining just yet (jeje). Here's a few shots from last Friday.

Calyxes are swelling and first signs of pistils beginning to brown. Well, on the PH x MT, the pistils are taking on a pinkish hue. We finally got some rain in the past days, so I threw some plastic over them. They are coming along nicely!

My new Ace gear arrived last week as well. All good in the hood.

Maybe a little bad luck, but I’ve sprouted 40-50 OTH/THH seeds in the same time frame and have come across 8 males. Definitely a haze trait to lean female.

Any of those males worth keeping around for crosses? I could always use colloidal silver or something of that nature on a nice female. I am really liking how the purple haze x meao thai is structured and suspect she will purple a bit in the later stages of flowering.

U.H.N. glad to see you, and your garden, going strong.

Haze is looking lovely. Distinctive look to thh, definitely looks more like oth hybrids than oth pura. Some hazes be like that though. Hope you find a good keeper.

Definitely can relate to your current journey, stepping off down the same path myself. And congrats on moving to a legal state!! Have fun with that!!

Hey Ncali. The meao Thai definitely adds a little chunk to the slender OTH. I've grown her pure and yields should be well above due to MT addition. Bracts (ovaries) also get larger. Still smells are very OTH leaning. The THH definitely seemed more hybrid than the pure OTH's I have grown. Much quicker start to flower and finish. Will have to dig deeper into that line to see if I can get longer flowering phenos.

Looking very nice! How long is your outdoor grow season? That’s great you can be rolling through November (and December? - since you were estimating ready in a month)

I'm around parallel 33. No real frost to speak of except maybe every blue moon in deep winter. Plants can grow year round if need be. We had our first real rains of the season this week, so temperatures dropping into low teens C.

Glad you are back. Any thoughts about an Ace Haze type that will finish outdoors near Denver? I am about 40 degrees, but the elevation makes for a shorter grow season.

I haven’t kept any alive. The time and space dedication is a little too much for me right now but I do have 1000+ OTH seeds in the freezer. Some of those seeds are my favorite green female crossed to five different males separated into different containers by male, so that I have a chance to check the male traits and pick the best line to work. I just won’t have a live cutting after picking the best line, it’s only saved in the seeds. When I get the space I plan to make those one of my priorities. The quality of effect is soooo good, even if you have to smoke a little more to get there. I’ve been chasing it ever since, growing lots of American strains. Nothing has matched the haze yet...euphoric, visual, spiritual. Perfect in other words :)
