Its not redundant for me,not everyone can afford a controller unit lol!Its the only way I have to check co2,matter of fact I'm going to do a test right now.Make sure and take a full 2 minutes pushing the air through the syringe,if you go to fast you'll get an inaccurate readingEDIT Damn 2000 PPM I'll have to turn her down a skosh

The hardest thing for me to get used to when I started using co2 was keeping the flower room around 85 degrees,it just didnt feel right although I know its correct

Its very important, you wont get the added co2 benefit without it.The higher temps increase the metabolism of the plant, youy need adequete light,at least 50w sq. ft,and you want to feed them to the hilt without overfeeding. They will be growing at a faster rate and will need a lot of food.It all works killer if you do everything correctly, screw up on 1 or 2 aspects and you may as well not use co2 enrichment at all.

why 85? what about 80? dammit, I work so hard to get my temps in the 70's, totally forgetting about the increased temp with co2.

80 is OK man, really I've heard anywhere from 80-90 the idea is to increase the temps above the normal 75 or so.If you could get it up to 85 it probably would be optimal.Remember I'm measuring temps at the canopy of the plants, the room temp itself is much cooler

Interesting. I cant afford a controller unit either and these test tubes seem like a reasonable solution. However i am unfamiliar with how they work. Could someone elaborate on how these work and where i can get some? Also how is the c02 applyed to the plants and how often. Thanks
