If you could invent anything for this hobby/industry?

I think it would be cool to have a solar powered device that sticks in the ground. Just to measure day light intensity and duration. Could also measure rain and other data types. Seems it would be cool to have such information on hand.

I'd like to see better grow lights too. Just so many anymore and none of them really balance out with all the rest. Sure some really do a fine job, but they just aren't all they could be so far.

What would you invent or have plans to roll out? Got some ideas?

I have a crazy idea if we were a more advanced species. Lights that produce power, no idea how that would work. Or also grow tents/rooms that are very small like a door way but can have infinite space inside. Guess I'm just a big dreamer:woohoo:

If I had a great idea like that I sure as hell wouldn't post it here. Without a patent your great idea could potentially make someone else very rich.

Space purged BHO

send a rocket up, put your purge vessel into the vacuum of space and open it up, patent pending space purged live resin coming to a dispensary near you

Local fusion reactor, something that would juice my house without
the need to burn fuel.

I could load it up with some banana peels and stale beer,
maybe call it Mr. Fusion...

thats called a solar pyranometer or just a pyranometer. they dont even cost that much.

they are used extensively in intensive agriculture/floraculture.
for the most part they are used in estimating growing degree days and projecting out harvest dates and yields and shit like that, but they can also be used in conjunction with artificial lighting in high tech greenhouses.

say you get a prolonged period of overcast skies... the pyranometer logs this condition and somewhere in the control scheme a decision is made to fire up the lighting untill the evening.
ive only ever seen this done for some expensive flowers grown in denmark whose name escapes me at the moment. it was not tulips.

your desire for lights that produce power is absurd.

what you have to understand is that plant lighting is ALWAYS going to consume significant amounts of power. its just physics.

the plants need a determinate intensity per unit of area across what ever wavelengths. this intensity is significant.
even if you assume 100% efficiency in the conversion of electricity to light in ONLY the wavelengths the plants care about you are still going to be looking at like... 100-200 watts of electrical energy per square meter.

if I could invent anything that would improve the growing of cannabis, it would be a world without asshat politicians, power tripping police departments and greedy glutonous corporations.
be cool if power was cheaper or free but otherwise.......

an automated light raiser..maybe some kind of laser??? would be cool to have the lights automated to proper height as plants grow.....yeehaw..a robot that could trim like a person or better would be awesome tho...trimming is only fun when you have a couple plants after that blisters start forming...lol

1. need a plant growth hormone that speeds flowering up to 2-3x normal rates so a 9 week becomes a 3-5 week

2. while were it rooting hormone guaranteed roots in 48hrs

3. automated robotic laser trimmer for precsion nugs

4. Nugs that grow back and regenerate damaged areas like a lizard tail - the mythical "Infinity Nug"

Breed a strain that feeds exclusively on vegan hippy tears and Prius exhuast. I would certify it as Cage & Cruelty free Cannabis.

Let's just cut to the chase.

I wanna invent a bowl that never goes empty, but the strain that's in it changes automatically, depending on my mood...

Fertilizer that self-adjusts PH for soil or hydro. I know there are ferts that do a pretty good job of buffering PH, but I want fert line that will self-adjust for whatever medium you use.

Tesla could build it. I think we are a fairly primitive species. Energy is abundlty around, tapping into it so far is crude. If humans make it to a million years from now, maybe they will have nicer products.
