tesla had a few brilliant ideas... high boundary layer/viscosity pumps, 3 phase/multiphase power, high voltage transmission systems, i think he invented a crude power meter? induction motors? various high voltage actuators... switches etc.
this was all brilliant.
but his brilliance got contaminated by his overall lunacy later on in his life.
his work was not even that revolutionary, it was huge, but still evolutionary. there were people all over europe experimenting with alternating currents and magnetic hysteresis and shit like that at the same time. i think he just got there first. in the us patent system anyway.
i had a book about tesla... i forget the name. one of those 10 dollar paperbacks you buy before a plane flight, 200 pages, you kill it in a weekend.
100 pages was a legitimate life history and some banal author insights into his thinking.
the last 100 pages was all this outrageous bullshit about tesla being an atlantean... and some conspiracy horse shit.
in order for lights to EXTRACT energy from the environment you have to basically throw out all known physics and speculate on star trek level worm hold to another universe shit.
even if these lights could magically remove all energy from air- reducing it to absolute 0, and suck up all ambient light and sound it still would not be enough to run a fucking room full of lights for even an hour.
and then your plants would drown in liquid nitrogen.

1joul = 1 watt second. so 1kj = 1000watts / (60 seconds * 60 min) = .27 w/hour. = .00027kw/hour
or
3600Kj = 1kwh.
if you assume 6 static cubic meters per light, as per the link above, you cold run a light for like 6 seconds before you run the air volume down to absolute 0 and your plants drown in liquid nitrogen.
yea you could of corse bring in new warm air... yea why not? well you would need a few hundred cfm per light minimum.
i might be off by an order of magnitude here, im just doing it in ms calculator, but minutes or seconds here it makes no difference. its absurde all the way around.
