JJ i agree with you in that in my personal opinion all use is medicinal and med users shouldn't have a monopoly. I also understand Krunch and others concern that the pioneers will be left in the dust. There is time to figure this out. Not much time, but there is some time.

I have no use for anyone that would take away the rights of millions of people to be able to grow and smoke their own cannabis so they can continue to make money off of med patients.

If you want to side with LEO and send a message that people do not want legalization, don't expect me to agree or respect that opinion. Is that clear enough?

So you would rather see business as usual and see people make money off of people who will still go to jail for carrying more than an ounce. Not to mention it does nothing to get people out of jail or keep them out of jail???? I just do not understand.

Again... prop19 will not change people going to jail for what they are going to jail now for.

We need some real freedom fighers to get jobs at those warehouses and pollinate their crops. This aggression will not stand man.

Even if it is existing law, you support it? We are changing the laws around cannabis, I think this is a good time to take care of the substantial things like cruel and unusual punishment of non violent "drug criminals".

Give a 17 year old a joint to smoke, you can go to prison for several years.

Rape his sister and you could probably be out the next day if not several months. Sound fair? Then vote yes

Black people will rape you and mexicans will rob you. All because of mj.... Reefer madness anyone?

As to prosecuting, your about 10x more likely for possible bail than with something as horrendus as a rape charge.

Also do you really expect every person arrested will get the max sentance EVERY time???

7 is the most you can get and that is moving weight. You dang get 5-10 under current law.

Quit making up bullshit. Rapist will not be out quicker than mj arrests, that is pure reefer madness propaganda...

You can all guarantee that I'll be talking with Gypsy about this one. Personally, I want no one here that sides with LE over people that want to legally enjoy this plant.....

Of all the lame-ass posts made in this thread, this one wins the blue ribbon. Congrats on raising the bar!

in the works already.........muahahahaha

i think i'm developing a man crush on you. don't tell my gf.

Just remember these Walmart Weed Warehouses will be like spider mites. One application to get rid of them will not be enough. You will have to be vigilant and use multiple applications.

thanks for all of your helpfull grow tips.

at this point, why not throw some more gasoline on the fire?
there's a thread over in law/legislation(i think that is the forum) with the latest poll results
all may draw from these what they wish, they discuss 6 polls(or so), 3 were 'press the button' polls
they showed about a 50% to 30% in favor of passage
the other 3 with human pollsters saw a near dead heat

I think Chris Conrad is mistaken.....

“except as permitted under Health and Safety Section 11362.5 and 11362.7 through 11362.9″.

Health and Safety Section 11362.5 and 11362.7 through 11362.9 would be the exception and would not be affected by this Bill. Don't these sections cover medical marijuana in California?

ahem...you totally misunderstood what cris conrad said. hes not saying 19 would endanger 215 or 420, he is saying not passing 19 would possibly endanger 215 and 420 too.

i have said a few times in the last posts here that i see this as a step forward and am even beginning to see it as essential that it gets passed. the last thing we want is the general population to get the idea that the majority don't want cannabis legalized.

i still wonder what all the consequences of this bill will be, but i believe not passing it would insure even worse consequences for smokers.

i'm leaning this way but won't decide until possibley the last minute as in the last presidential election. Once Obumma flew to the white house with John McCain to have a private Bankster Bailout meeting with then sitting president GW Bush, i could not vote for him. That's the point in time it was clear to me there was no difference between the right and the left, democrats and republicans. That's when i decided my vote. It was down to the wire not exactly sure how close to Nov 4th but within weeks.

Like then, i will wait to see what the rats and pigs do and say and then decide. I think a lot of shit is going to change. Everyday there is a new article in the national news regarding marijuana. I think many new developments and variables will enter the picture in the coming weeks and months.

Stay tuned...or tuned out.

since you're one of the few people for this bill who is even remotely capable of sharing your opinion like a mensch, I'm curious to know if you think the only reason one might vote against this bill is greed and douchebaggery, or is it possible that others might have more dire concerns about the same consequences you ponder?

Hell yeah. I have trouble trusting people's critical thinking skills when they are so damn assured of things as important as political choices half a year before things are set to be voted on.

What ever floats your boat... all that ever comes of your posts are insults for not seeing it your way and the mere fact you are not even from california is subject at best.

Also I would like to know your rebutle to this:

I am sorry but prop 19 will not keep people out of jail. Again... people are going to jail for carrying more than an oz. This will not change. It is 6 months in jail and 500.00 fine for carrying more than an oz... and this is what is the leading cause of arrests in california.

For less than an oz people are only getting tickets for 100.00.

So as you can see prop19 will not do anything to curb the incarceration rate and may infact increase it by people thinking it is a free for all as taxation is not legalization.

Also I will remind you... I am a Californian, Part Apache indian and Veteran of the USMC and you want to threaten me... wow! This has no effect on you what so ever but the people of california. Why would you want to see this prop pass???

It will not win over the conservitive and bible belt states and only serves to line the pockets of those backing this prop and to fill the coffers of corupt politicians so they can spend it all.
<!-- / message -->

the main reason many folks want this prop 19, is because in the end it will change the status of average pot smokers from being criminals always in danger of having their secret outed , to law abiding citizens with the right to now do what they have always done, ie partake of cannabis products. but now they can do so with no fear if they follow the rules.

even if some folks will still be at risk some times a far larger portion will now no longer be in any risk. in politics you have to take what you can get, and this thing is at least better then nothing, while according to all interpretations i'm finding the 215 stuff is supposed to stay the same. while if this thing doesn't pass, the enemies of cannabis will be emboldened to attack 215 or 420.

That's why i'm glad there is some time left so that people can realize how many variables there are to this. It's not black and white. If the real vote comes down to Corporate Monopoly of Cannabis in CA as opposed to the current Med Only program, then the best vote is NO if you want variety, and fair trade and competition, to vote in Monopolies will destroy thousands of lives by corporatizing this plant. Remember It's a fucking plant. WTF?

I have a question. So If I was a grower and selling commercially and wanted to get all the proper permits to go legit and pay whatever it is they want under prop 19.... would they allow an ex felon a permit. Many of the people who have been a large part of the fight in the past to keep cannibus available to all people already have felonies on their records. Just wonder where it will leave those people.

the MJ warehouses are going up without prop 19, it appears we can have corporate MJ under prop 215

america is a special interest owned, pluralist, corporatist mecha.

any rights or freedoms we the people have recieved since the passing of the civil rights act of 1964 have been either a by-product of a special interest goal, or trickled down to us through the court system.

19 is a great example of that. we are all trying to see how something clearly designed for the benefit of someone else will benifit us too by proxy.

you know we can all get together and pool our resources to make our own props?

voting in america to get what you want just doesnt cut it anymore. we need to be the ones who decide what gets voted on.

we need to become our own special interest group, our own lobbyists.

on a side note, i just wanna thank gaius and all the non cursing, personal insulting, im gonna run to daddy to tell on you, point making yes arguments here.

I've had a breeding project i've been working on for a year that would be impossible to carry on in a 5x5 space shared with my personal plants. So I would either have to give up something that I am passionate about and feel I have a right to, or keep it going and become a criminal.

.
Welcome to our world in the other (36?) states

Help us get our foot in the door by voting yes.

That's fantastic and i'm all for not jailing casual smokers but i think preserving the rights, and fighting for the rights of already fought and won medical cannabis laws should be of higher importance than legitimizing casual pot smokers. Sorry bro but i have an incurable auto immune disorder, pharms have failed me, cannabis has been a part of my life for 20 years, and to have walmart come in and bastardize the whole thing, has me worried. It has a lot of people worried. The "greedy fucks" who were demonized for decades for smoking a twig who are now being told to vote YES to change recreational users status is condescending at best IF this also means that monopolies take over. Sorry but i'd rather have the current system than walmart big agriweed grown by Dick Lee, althought i do start to see a real market for boutique hard to grow strains that they just won't do in those moldy old oakland warehouses since they will be growing for commercial purposes.

Peace in the Middle East.

P.S. In case you haven't heard, our president lied about ending the wars in Afghanistan.
