IC MAGGERS obsessed with KUSH

You all are awesome, turned this into a cool thread.... Shows that da Kush is not really all crazy sh*t after all.

The Roadkill skunk must be the rarest of all, as I hear a lot of people want but of no one who has it. The Big Buddah Cheese phenoi I have is so stinky, no filter can contain it. It even stinks in veg, and is sticky when you take clones.

Gonzo #1 is NOT it. Check it off your list, greenthumbers.

I am trying at least 4 more phenos of Kush related strains. Oger's Kush S1 ( I had some seeds in the fridge - 2 phenos, one is quite unique looking, the other who knows...? Looks good too. ) - also a few phenos of bubba commercially available, no names given, long story, and a couple of relatives to this same Bubba.

GDP clone-only too, I may cross my OG with the GDP, as I got one (Count 'em : One ) OG K seed in 3 years, and it turned out to be a male, so I cloned it. Will always try to keep up wit da K's......

Again thanx for the positivity....

Hi,

For a guy who see all this "hype, lies, and so many more..." from the outside, that kushmania is not so easy to understand.

Maybe because here we have never smoked real cali's kushes...lol...maybe when we would have smoke some we will understand...

I will start a nirvana masterkush pack to start to understand quickly why kush kush kush everywhere...lol ;)

It took me a couple years of smoking Cali Kush hybrids to really understand which was which and the difference and everything. And really get it right.
It was hard to figure out. Mostly I had to grow each one to really get it. So I could see how it would be confusing.
Almost like another language.
Thats why people get so passionate about it.
But it's just like arguing over any hobby.
But like I said in person Kush brings people together just like any MJ if not more because of it's gnarly unique stink ,taste and high. Everyone wants it. Even if it's just a hit. And alot of these Kush hybrids are really chemdawg hybrids too.
So thats why things are shifting to the dawgs.
Because it's the opitamy of all these Cali Kush Hybrids.
Alot of them also have more Kush strains in them.
But the one strain that mothered alot of them was chemdawg.
Sometimes the daddies would have kush in em too.
But usually the same kush thats rumored to be in chemdawg. But thats speculation.

But this also goes for the Diesels! Chemdawg is also the central strain in the Diesels as well. So you can imagine how desirable it would be in it's pure form.
But recently it's been released to a few people, 3 main phenotypes(or 3 sisters from 3 different seeds) Plus a few more and some hybrids. And thats why now is the time of the Dawg.

Jesus Kush?

Jesus Kush?

Im just getting pissed off that dealers in So. Cali will say they have kush whenever they have anything good......then it turns out that they have white widow or someother generic commercial strain that i can't recognize. Next time that happens Dr. Bloom is gunna have to SLAP A HO! Makes me appreciate the dutch coffeeshop menu's so much more ;) Anyway's, there's so many good strains out there, just dont buy into the hype!

I read in another thread today that Jesus was down with the herb. I wonder if anyone's gotta clone of what he was tokin? That will be the real holy grail!

edit: turns out Jesus grew something called "JC Kush". I managed to get some beans for a friend in the vatican, and i'll be making F2's to share with all of you! That way after smoking up we can all have a little bit of jesus inside us!

The sad thing is im not even high right now :pointlaug

If Jesus was a smoker then Bubba Kush is what he smoked and most likely some good ole haze aswell. Bubba is the filet mignon, lobster, king crab of cannabis. Its what all the movie stars smoke who are burners (because they have the money to piss away on the best and pay crazy prices). You guys ever see the episode of Entourage(killer show) where one guy says he has a pound of the Bubba Kush inside the tire on his Escalade. Or last weeks episode another guy talks about smuggling 12 pounds of Kush...lol...as far as whats the actual linage of some of the kush's, only the original breeders know for sure . I've never seen anyone on the boards ever claim to be responsible going back to early OG/CW days. We can't believe everything we read on the boards or cannabible. As far as hype, I've been to Amsterdam a bunch of times, grown out alot of the best elites and can honestly say nothing compares to the Bubba when it comes to QUALITY of the high. There are many other strains the taste better, yield better and even stronger BUT they don't give that unique euphoria and bliss the Bubba does. Saying all this cannabis is very subjective to each individual so this is just my personal feelings and might be (though i doubt it) different for others.

i'm sold though your description reminds of great herb and genetics that are plentiful in the kush area as a whole-wonderful, flavourful smoke that leaves enough in the head to function-it makes sense that the kush craze was fathered by a Paki indica-a lot of the gardha and charas from this area gives the same effect you describe though i won't know for certain until i grow the BK myself ;)

ive only smoked bubba once and it wasnt good enough for me to take the extra effort to convince it to root and grow. maybe i'll get around to it in the future, but the only kush i want these days is triangle kush.
best thing is i havent heard any cali hype on it, i can grow it in peace without being told i dont have the real deal pre-bush administration triangle kush.

I got the opportunity to smoke a few different Kush's over the past month. Being on the east coast, it was my first time. I was highly disappointed yes its strong, but I have has stronger... and the yield was horrible... I could never grow Kush no matter how strong it is because it wouldn't last a week in this house for as much as I smoke.

It has very nice bag appeal though... and the flavor is OK, Yield SUCKS, potency is of course pretty high, but there are so many other strains I would choose to grow over a Kush.

I agree with whoever said its all in the mind setting... I was looking forward to smoke it hearing the claims and got too exited, it didn't live up the the hype and totally missed my my expectations. I also agree Kush brings out bad in people, especially that greed ignorant part, only thing worse is some chem D.

Everyone will all follow the hype and smoke kush saying its the best because thats what they were told. You'll always have a conformist crowd, but there are better things to different people. For those who wish to avoid getting in line ... without being able to see the front.

In the best of circumstances... Watching the smiles on the faces after all effort expended on holding in that excellent lemon-pine Kush toke, is all worth the trouble.

Yes, begging for the OG K strain is legendary, but truly, the smoke makes people more high and happy than any strain I have ever encountered. Almost a sigh of relief, people relax upon having that lungful of smoke in...

The narcotic buzz is unreal.

Bubba is a bit different, tastes like Purple Kush, and is great too.

The flavour alone.....

oh and nice, Ethereal, don't hold anything back...! 80% of the people who try to grow it either fail, or give up. It ain't easy at all.

JDOG thanx for the info on Chemdog, always timely and accurate.

I'm thinkin as far as the Kush hybrids go the SFV OG rules them all.
For all the reasons Icesurfer says.
The smiles and it is just pure bliss.
Nice mix of indica and sativa and it tastes, well in my opinion, like the best tasting weed I've ever had.
But the original OG is way more of an actual Kush.
More of an indica but it still has some sativa headyness to it.
But not that same euphoric high you get from the SFV OG.
I'd rather grow a low yielding strain of weed that only takes a couple hits to get high with.
Then a beaster thats gonna take 2 bowls full to feel it. But to each his own.
Almost all my strains are medium to low yielders but the best weed around. IMO
I got a couple high yielders but not many.
Maybe 2 or 3.lol Kali Mist, Orange Kush. I hear this Banana Kush yields well.
We'll see.

Ya, thats what I hear also.
But I never smoked it knowingly, so for me until I try the Tahoe OG, the SFV is the better tasting one but the original (orange county version) is the most devistating, makes you brake out in a sweat and it feels like a sharp rush to the head, then your body starts to melt.

I have no idea which one I have, but based on the photos alone, someone else said it was the SFV.

It is a cut that is at least 15 years old, so that may narrow down "what it can be."

I was told it was Chemdog (dawg), the OG Pheno, by the people who gave it to me, after I worked it for 3 years.... After much prodding, of course, the secret was revealed to me.

But many say it is the best Kush by far they have ever tried. Some end up in the hospital, crying over irregular heartbeat, some end up in Nirvana Land because it relaxes them so. Go figyah....

It is a narcotic high, with a demanding expansion, and a flavour that one cannot get enuf of, that takes even seasoned smokers/growers by surprise.
Even after I warn them to not take a huge hit....
