What's up everyone, I was about to open a new thread and noticed hazelover above me bumped this original back up..

Can someone clarify how this system recirculates?

This is the res, the connections on the bottom are the drainage, the one hose out near the top is for the feed manifold.

The buckets are placed ABOVE the top of the res water line?? So that when it top feeds all the excess drains back into the res?? I don't understand why the water in the res doesn't push back to the buckets, his tables don't seem that high. Or why the buckets would empty out, if there is going to be a few gallons of water at the res causing pressure..

for some reason that post made me laugh really hard for a minute. Yes that is likely, or maybe he just sketched out at the possibility of getting caught with that many plants

Soquick was always sketchy about posting pics in fact he never posted untill all was said and done. Especially after the decline of OG, i imagine SoQ is growing strong as ever............just quietly.

IVV, ebb & grow works just about the same way... and no need for elevation changes, or extra drip lines. It's a simpler system over the SoQuick Drip buckets, with many advantages.

Use 2 pumps and a controller to change the water level at set times, you can flood up to the stem 5x a day. basically a bucket ebb&flow system, pretty easy.


I was seriously considering building this system, but the more I looked at the plans the more I could see that the Ebb&Grow was easier to build, less parts, and essentially the same. The real trick in SoQuick's buckets is his # of buckets (packs em in there) and a strain(ak99) that no one has been able to reproduce in terms of ZERO veg time, amazing stretch and yeild.

You know what I wonder... why o why havent I seen anyone growin AK99.... I know if we were gonna select two random good individuals to breed, results wont be what SQ grew but still nobody even tried to reproduce already given recepie to achieve that yield and strech..
