Interspecific hybridization, which involves crossing two different species within the same genus, is a form of traditional breeding and does not fall under the category of genetic modification as it does not involve the direct manipulation of an organism's genes in a laboratory

by that token, even maize is a gmo (i mean, it is NOW, but i'm talking about... u know... a few thousand years ago).

afaik things that are not genetically engineered in a lab are not GMOs.
Yeah there are many ways of modifying things, the first attempts were radiation and colchicine, you could send off your seeds and pay to have them irradiated.
The effects of increased lectins since colchicine induced mutations in wheat in the early 40s have been devastating for many people.

Maize is a modified cultivar...from ancestors..not gmo
correct (about maize not originally being a gmo, i mean... edited just to clarify). thank you for elucidating my point.

i still think using the word "modified" is misleading, cause why wouldn't 99% of ppl think you mean genetically modified?

Celiac disease was first discovered in 1888. It wasn't 'given a name' until later. What you are saying is similar to "Gold didn't exist until it was discovered".
Just because CBD is only found in certain families of Cannabis plants does not mean that it was genetically engineered. That would be like saying that because Labradoodles didn't exist until whatever year, that dogs were genetically engineered. (No, it was a natural doggie act that did it.) As humans, we are no longer knuckle-walkers...so are we GMO?
GMO is where a lab injects the nucleus of one organism into another species, such as some underwater fluorescent fish injected into a tomato to make it glow in the dark.

Please read the link I sent, I go into it in depth, the proof is in the sediment of the French hemp retting pools, loads of cbn, no cbd.

ok, i mean... if i "double spoke" it's cause i'm an idiot, not because i work for monsanto or whatever high strung conclusion you must have reached to get so upset...

are you talking about where i said "correct", to you, for saying that maize is not gmo (originally)?

fuck this, what a wretched half- assed argument you've made for no good reason

I read until there were a couple of pages of not related stuff.

The french pools results are evidence, not proof. As in, "there are no white people in village A, therefore, all other skin colors are genetically modified."

What very advanced people made a lab and injected maize with some other species to make it GMO?
