I remember when I had to have a pare of these.

Showing my age here. But me and my brother took the wheels off a pair of these, screwed them onto a couple wood remnants from one of my Dad's projects out in the garage, and each made a skateboard. Had hours and hours of fun on them. That was way back in the early 60s.

Men were men, and women were women, and that was the only options. Too confusing these days for this old fart!
i'm with you HB.
back in the day, daily vitamins were just that, daily vitamins... today there are daily vitamins for men, women, seniors, OH! and children, probably more types... used to be able to buy mens underwear, boxers or briefs. Now there are many, many types and finding just oxers or briefs isn't as easy as it used to be.

WTF is this guy (me) getting to? confusion.

I can put on lip stic and use any bathroom I like.

Yep, did that, too! It could go straight and fast....turning corners was another challenge.

My dad made me one in the 50's, but put a wooden produce box with handlebars on top.

It was so loud I couldn't ride it early on the weekends.

Those were the days.

My dad was in the Sporting Goods business and jumped on the phenomena he saw in the neighborhood. He saw what the kids were building and bought roller skate wheel assemblies and had a guy that had a woodworking shop make and finish off the boards and assemble them. He then sold them to his clients. This was in the early 60’s.

I remember carrying the skate key around in my pocket.
Where I lived, only the girls wore the key around their neck like a necklace...

Of course, by less than 10 years later I was wearing "love beads" around my neck!

Aw Geez, I had forgotten all about that... I have a lockbox somewhere with a few of her "love beads" rolling around the bottom. I can't remember her face anymore, or even her name - but I remember the feeling... :huggg:

I remember when "social media" was going outside and riding bikes with my friends.

I remember when the only mobile phone I knew of was the one Frank Canon had in his Lincoln Continental Mark IV

I remember when we had 3 TV channels, and you got the news at 5:00 and 10:00 pm.

I remember Walter Cronkite, and you got NEWS, not opinion disguised as fact.

Those were the days. Journalists were at the desk. I hated hated heated it!

We didnt live as lavishly as you it seems. We only had one TV in the house.

That's the only reason I remember Kronkite, because kids didn't get there way back then.

I also rember him watching a couple of shows on Sunday morning. One had a big sun design backdrop and a news desk and the other was a dude driving around the country in a motor home meeting folks.

I remember being itchy as hell from sweating all day in the sun and front lawns.

I remember when you made damn sure you were sitting in front of the tv when a show you wanted to watch was scheduled to be on or you were never gonna see it and there was nothing you can do about it.

I remember when you could start a 4 hour convo by wondering out loud because it was interesting enough and we had time to talk about nothing. Wondering out loud these days gets you an answer.
