I remember when I didn't have a trick knee. Think Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon putting his shoulder back in place. Good times! I can still run on it though!

I remember when buying music meant a walk into town to visit the record shop run by a couple of 60s hippies, what a place -wall to wall vinyl, incense mingling with the pot smoke from the room at the back, you were almost humiliated at the counter unless your choice was super cool.....

I remember when I was in a record store, as a kid, and had to choose to hear the new Bay City Rollers single, or this strange band called Sex Pistols with God save the queen? I choose for the Sex Pistols and never forget the moment, it was like the sound of a chainsaw. I never heard something like this before and bought the Pistols single.:woohoo:

I remember a concert in Berlin 1979 with the Damned, Captain Sensible took the part of the singer, the singer was on LSD in the crowd. Strange for a 15 year old kid fom the province,...

And I remember a concert in winter 1980 in London with Madness, 1000 Skinheads stand up and shout Sieg Heil, as the band come on the stage. I was shocked! It was the second of 2 concerts that day, the first gig we saw through a broken window from the roof of the Hammersmith Odeon. Around us in full light, greater London.

I think we were the last in the neighborhood to have a fandangled color TV, rabbit ear antenna.

Drooled over reel to reel tapes before having 8-track installed in 69' AMC Ambassador w/ louvre back window....ha!

Recall those buying LP's recording them once (reel to reel), then keeping in the sleeve. I played mine until groves disintegrated.

I remember the cray fish I caught and ate, lovely gear, even had the meat stuffed into pies and pasties. curried is tops, soufflé cray meat is another top feed fekeeeeeen delish. just chucked onto the hot coals is juicy too. not fond of the engine room currie that my mate loves drooling down his chops.

Herman I saw the Damned about '81 , couldnt hear the traffic in the city an hour after the concert, one of the loudest bands I ever saw. My brother saw the MC5 and said they were louder!
