I hate it when people call it pot don't you?

In fact years ago if I was smoking with a group of people and someone called it "pot" I would refuse to smoke with them. Most of my friends also agreed with me about the word so it always ended up a debate with others about why we hated the word "pot". And usually we never smoked with that person again if they continued to call it pot. Kind of funny now that I think about it. My reason was that cops and prohibitionists used the word and my friends agreed with me.

To this day I still refuse to call it pot!

I seem to just avoid using the word, my freinds and I usually call it by the more dignified "Herb" or "smoke", although "smoke a bowl" is usually used.

Pot is kind of a after school special name for the good herb.

i wouldnt go as far as you went no matter what they call it, but i dont like it being called 'dope'. dope is a name for a differant drug. but like the other poster said (forget name ) the word never comes up at all. its either "u tryna get high?" or "u tryna smoke?"

kinda pisses me off when ppl call it dope, pot or marijuana. Mostly just the stoopid ppl that don't understand cannabis their just trying to catch a buzz off something. I think dope just shows a person's ignorance, i guess its because its usually my mom that i hear it from. (same person that didn't know if my cannabis was overwintering in the roots or not last week )

Pot isn't as bad as marijuana in my book. Marijuana was a word created in the 1930's, and we don't want to continue down that ignorant road if we can help it.

Calling it 'weed' is what gets my goat. Now there's a word that was intentionally misapplied to the plant to sway public opinion. Cannabis has been domesticated as long as humans have been farming, it may have been the first. If this plant is a weed, there is no plant that isn't.

But I wouldn't refuse to smoke (vape) with someone who used the word. They might refuse to partake with me to avoid the lecture though. :smile:

Word i don't like it. Growing up I never heard anybody call it pot except for old people, narcs, and teachers etc. Nobody I knew or smoked with ever called it pot. Sadly I've met a bunch of people in the past couple years who say it all the time and it gets to me. They just don't seem like real heads. It's herb, green, bud, ganj, weed, even dank, not pot. It just sounds like somethin the police would say. I'd rather people say 'dro actually. And that really bothers me.

Weed is the racial slur of any plant. Just cause someone dosent like a plant they put a bad name with it. Here you can get a ticket for alowing bull thistle to grow in your property, its classified a noxious weed. A bull thistle in full bloom is a beutiful plant.

Also, make sure to avoid those 'pot pies' they sell in the grocery. Total ripoff, I ate half a dozen once in less than half an hour and didn't even catch a little buzz.

I say "weed". But we smoke mainly blunts around here, so it's usually "you want to smoke a blunt?" or "I need to smoke a damn blunt".


What I can't stand is "ganj" or "ganja". But only cause I've never heard anyone but dumbass rich hippykids say it, and it's usually something like this
"DEWWWD, like this GANJ is like so fuck-ing like awesome dude, this shit is like fucking insane"

"nuggets/nugs" is a pretty bad one too. "Dude, I got some NUGS"

There's a slew of local slang that'd probably confuse/bewilder some of y'all though.

It seems its all what you get used to hearing and saying, and who are the ones saying the words. Nugs and nuggets was fairly common in back in high school.

I don't hear it much now though. I just like to smoke pistilate cannabis flowers.....

Nuggs nuggets and ganj are all really common aroundhere and i dont really mind them. Pot is annoying and weed sort of is too but i definetly think thats what the people who just do it to get fucked up say. All of us that are really into it usually call it bud or nugs. I can only picture my friends saying pot when they are joking around about people who say pot.
