Ill: yeah you get a roll of Panda for @ $90 and 2 x 4 board for 1 room is @ $25 for a 4 x 4 x any height up to 8' tent. You only need spend another $25 to build another room, ther'll be plenty of panda left to do the job like 4-5 times over.

yeah it must take a while for em to gas off or somethin but it sure was a shitty deal...did'nt really find out what was wrong till I read about em..thought i was losing all my skills and was ready to throw in the towel...lol :bashhead:

thats worse than shittin in the bed or buyin a gallon of voo doo juice and havin it be laced with weed killer...lol... :rasta:

Yo,
PULL THE TENTS OFF THE FRAME, black out the windows and remove the tents from the room. Your plants will return back to prosperity immediately. Do it ASAP.

Email me if you have any question, been there-done that.

Have you been spying on me?

I have the 100 foot x 10 foot roll of panda, i use 2x3 boards, and cheap brown 4'x8'x 1/8" fiber board sheets for the sides (virtually air/light-tight once panda goes inside). I've done a 4x4x8h and a 5x8x8h so far! Less expensive, sturdier, more stealth, and more fun in the end to build than a pre-made hut!

I can hang on my 2 x 4 frame to reach the plants in the back, saves havin to remove half the plants under the lights to dump a few solo cups full of nutes/water.

if i didnt know any better i woudl smell a DEA conspiracy. so is it that the heat from tehlamps/equipment help to realease the the toxins from the covering?

didnt the test these things b4 they made them available for sale to the public? just seems really crazy to me, and then people are still having problems even after sending them back!?!? nah sorry, something bigger is going on.

my conspiracy senses are tingling

i'm not sure if this is a conspiracy. our whole life is a conspiracy and this would just be icing on the cake. remember, many people have successfully grown in a HH, but it wasn't until after they started sealing the inside of the tent with a different chemical that problems started happening.

Hey guys! :headbange do these hydrohut problems have anything to do with the chemical DEHP which has been found to cause an array of human and environmental problem? PVC is the main container of this chemical and millions of products contain it. If so, I'm FUCKING PISSED... how long will businesses be able to sell stuff that poisons people and plants? I encourage everyone to support the ban on DEHP. Let me know, im curious.

EDIT: if you don't already know, 50% of American males are destined to have cancer by current statistics, doubts about plastic are raising. The theory is that this chemical DEHP has been poisoning people for many years and there have been many unexplained increases in disease rates among Americans for a while now.

Thought I would throw ya an update.

I spoke with the owner of my local shop and after my threats of NEVER buying from him again he gave me a store credit for the HH. Thats all I wanted in the first place.

Anyway, I used that credit and got a JARDIN DR-120. If your looking for some kind of pop up tent...........THIS IS THE ONE TO GET for sure. Far nicer than the HH ......IMO. Took me all of 20 minutes to set up. Nice interior reflection and love the sock type vent holes along with 3 entry doors. One main door and 1 smaller access door on two sides. The top support bars are made from heavy steel pipe unlike the HH wire type top supports. I set it up last night and will be placing my babies in there today. Go with Jardin. (by the way. I did not get the street model, To thin) get the good one for a few more $$)

Plant update:
Thanks to the posters on this site, I was able to save my last batch of plants. (I had already lost 18 before I new it was the HH) After removing my Hashberry and Purple Kush about 14 days ago...........they have started to recover nicely. All green is returning to most leaves and new growth has just restarted.

Thanks to all on here for this info that SAVED MY PURPLE KUSH !!! YOU :headbangeK

Ill also repeat whats aid above....Secret Jardin, make sure its the Dark room not the street edition.... the stret edition is a budget verion and not lightproof....(still better than hydrohut killing plants.
there are some cheapos on fleabay now in uk called hydrolab, they look like the very 1st budbox, with the ust hole on the top....Ive spoken to the guy selling them and he reckons hes been using 2 for over a year without issues....dunno though Get a darkroom

Exactly
IMO, you are crazy to lock your plants up in a PVC box.

hey guys I have a really long closet its not too wide but its long and tall.

the width of it is about 36 inches wide. what kind of options am i looking at? Im thinking about the homebox S. I definately dont want to go with hydrohut or anything pvc. is there any other tents i should be looking at with the 37 inch width spec? maybe one of those secret jardins? possibly a long version of a tent thats not wide.

I would think so. I have one I got about a year ago that's fine. Seems the bad ones were all newer ones from what I read.

Just wanted to bump this thread with some new information from my situation. I purchased a 4x4 Hydrohut last winter, used it for a couple weeks, had it kill everything that I put in it, and sent the piece of shit back to the hydrohut people to undergo their "proprietary cleaning method".

I finally set the death trap back up two days ago to see if it would kill plants again, and guess what? Everything that goes in doesn't come out alive. The off-gassing smell is worse than before and was making sick while I was putting the damn thing back up. Not sure how other people faired with the "clean up" guaranteed by Hydrohut, but my experience was that it was a big joke on us--all the while undoubtedly increasing our collective cancer rates while these clowns saved face and cash for a few months by not refunding everyone's money like they should have in the first place.

On top of all this, Hydrohut is announcing "new exciting products" on their website for the upcoming year; do yourselves a favor and never buy anything from this company again. They have demonstrated their incompetence and endangered our health (and our patients' health for fellow med growers...), wasted our time, and stolen our money for a faulty product one too many times.

I grow in a bathub and use the shower curtain to block out light. It's a solid white vinyl one you get from walmart for 10$.. is it possible this could leak gas the same way as the hydro huts? I've had the same symptoms of new growth coming out light green but never the complete death of the plants.. however I have had weird growth and a problem with yellowing leaves. I also have high pH and heat stress issues. Shoudl I ditch the shower curtain? What's a good alternative that can still mount to the shower rod for easy opening/closing.

I have 2 hydrohut minis. One i bought in 03/07 and the other was purchased in 10/07. Never had an issue with either one of them. I guess I got lucky and they were one of the originals from before the defect.

I ordered this one on ebay.com "Product Code: GYO1002" it was difficult to assemble because a reterd made up the directions. There were 8 sections of pole labeled "B", four of them were 6" longer than the other four. It took me a while to figure this out and I accidentally ripped the tent because when I assembled the poles they were 6" too long. It has a strong plastic smell. On the first day I put the plants in the tent four out of six showed signs of over fertilization. The leaves curled upward at the tips, eventually the edges of all leaves died and it spread to the whole leaf. Does this sound like PVC toxicity? Seller "gyosupplies" does not accept returns.
