HumboldtLocals Outdoor 2010

HL! What are those little baby twigs? I thought you humbolt guys knew how to grow!

haha jk, looks great bud, are the hoops for your horto support? I know they were originally for the spring and keeping the clear wrap over them to keep warm... but i thought you were going to use them to light dep them as well? Or was that only a portion and the other your going to just use the hoops as horto support? sorry confused...

Yea,they were starting to irritate my foot so I had to go with the socks.
Nice pic's HL! Really nice.

even though they are exceedingly stupid-lookin, i broke down and bough a pair of crocs for gardening. i once owned a pair of cheap knockoffs in El Honduragua, wore em once, hated em and then they got eaten by the dog, so my suffering was short-lived. But through all my hating that followed, people told me to try the name-brand joints before I passed final judgment.

Now that I have been rocking some basic Crocs in the garden, I am hooked. I wear them just about everywhere. I keep my Redbacks in the car for serious work and digging, but pretty much have the crocs on my feet everywhere I go. I don't care how stupid they look. (and the really do look stupid) They are comfortable and cool and somehow, don't get nearly as gooey with sweat and dirt as you might think plasticized foam barefoot shoes might.

Best 30 bucks I have spent on myself in a while.

We have two greenhouses here at HL's. One is tall enough to plant in the ground which consists of deep trenches of amended soil. We have 3 of HumboldtLocal's strains(Purple Trainwreck/Grapefruit x Grapefruit Purple F2 and F3 and Purple Trainwreck x Zenu(old school Humboldt strain),and some Rez strains as well.(SSSDH,SFV OGK/Chemdog,Chemdog/Sour Diesel)
Looking good inside, here's a few pics from today. If they look a little droopy it's from heavy bending to control vertical growth done before pics.

The other greenhouse is being grown in raised beds with an old local method. HL talked about it before. It's basically a scrog times 100. Each branch is tied down to a plastic mesh screen as it grows through it spreading out the branches flat. each week as the branches attempt to grow up we tie them down flat again. HL went over it about 30 pages ago with some pics from last year before harvest. These plants are as old as the ones in our 300 gallon smart pots but choose for their stout but strong structure and smell early in veg. The pics don't really do it justice or show the hard work we, mostly Ms.Ganja D have put into it. After all the branches reach the end of the screen,we will put a second screen on top,let them grow through it,tie them down and finally let them do their thing when they begin to flower. These pics are from 3 days ago.

Lastly, here is a picture of a Burmese Kush/Goo stalk that is a freak of nature. I've never seen anything like it. You can't tell from the picture but is bigger than my biceps. Again from 3 days ago.

Check HL's sig for the Twister Trimming Machine..it looks pretty bad ass and from reading HL's posts it does GREAT work for large amounts of meds

Your living my dream, what's the law in Humboldt?

Don't they say you can grow as many plants as long as your canopy is 100 sq meters or something..

Trying to say you're jacked?

I was turning through 'pix of the crop' in HT just the other day when I stumbled on a few of your shots. Minutes later, I happened to find your thread. I must say I really envy the community those of you in CA are involved in. Regardless, you and your comrades do great work.

On that stalk that's busting. I've noticed when I'm heavy watering Tomato plants that are supremely happy the stalks do exactly that. Never really had any negative blowback from the stalk Hulking out like that.

So inspiring to check in on your guys. Much Love

Peace
